"QOTD: Do you think the #TexasFlooding is related to climate control or God's rebuke?" he tweeted. "Call 8775325797 or tweet me your thoughts," he added, soliciting responses from his audience.

The answers weren't quite what he expected:

"It's called weather and its unpredictable," one person said in response. "[D]eal with it," the Twitter user added.

"[W]hen will God rebuke you for not paying your fair share, inciting riots, and being responsible for unnecessary deaths?" another person asked. "God is not going to tell you BUT he is asking why you don't 'Pay your fair share?' $5 Mill in BACK taxes," added a third online critic.

"Or maybe its just due to all that rain?" one person suggested. "It is due to weather, you flipping moron," tweeted another user. Several questioned Sharpton's intelligence and one person opined that it was God "making a statement about your non-stop race baiting."
