For Our EV Loving Cultists

Eventually the battery will need to be replaced. How many thousands will that cost?

In the great big picture. It will still take years and years so it is not irrelevant.
So what?

It is inevitable. ANd that still doesn't negate the fact that an EV makes sense as a daily driver for most people

No it does not make sense for most people. A large number of people live in cities in apartments. But we have covered this many time. A large number of people can not afford one. Something one can not afford does not make sense for them.

Tests have shown over 80% efficiency after 200,000 miles. No, not many will end up replacing a battery once the technology becomes affordable overall. (that efficiency will improve over time also)

Most people do not live in cities.

If you live in a city you really don't need a car do you?

Assuming the price will never come down is illogical

I have no desire to continue with those who refuse to discuss things honestly.

An Ev makes a lot of sense for a daily driver.

Most people drive less than 50 miles a day back and forth to work so there is no need for any other place to charge your car but at home.

Denying that fact is no different from insisting the world is flat
The average cost of a new EV is 56K and a used EV 39K. Many can't charge a vehicle at home, where they live. I have a 10 year old KIA that looks and drives like it is new. don't want new debt like that.

So what is your argument, that we should sell out the people of the Ukraine because we can't get oil and nickel?

The real problem is that we KNEW this was a problem 50 years ago when the Arabs decided to thank us for saving the Zionists by wrecking our economy with the first oil shock.

We SHOULD have embarked on a policy to reduce our need for petroleum then. More solar, more wind, more nuclear, more fuel efficiency, more bio-fuels.

Instead, we've spent the last 50 years playing hall monitor in the middle east, wrecking the water table by trying to suck out the last few drops of oil from shale...
As Mr EV Musk says, DRILL BABY DRILL.

There are at least half a dozen EV models available in the US for under 30K

All metals will be taking a big Northward track now

If we had a nickel for every lie a libturd ever told here, it would stretch to he moon and half way back

How long is eventually?

Most people don't put more than 100K on a car before they get rid of it anyway
A big percentage keep cars well beyond that - and especially:

1) the lower-middle income who can’t waste money on a new car every few years. (In fact, they are first BUYING them with 60,000 or 70,000 miles on them.)

2) financially responsible upper-middle people who know it’s a waste of money to trade in a car every five or six years.

The only people I know who have an EV are liberal virtue-signers with more money than they know what to do with. For the regular people, this is a big burden.

You whine that minimum wage is a problem while demanding minimum wage earners go out and spend $40,000 for a new car.

Leftards are a special kind of stupid.
Worse….he’ll demand that the government give out money to help them buy the car (which costs everyone else) or say that the MW has to be $25 because that’s what it takes to live now that cars cost so much.

The you don;t know very many smart people.

An EV makes sense for a daily driver but you go ahead and ignore all the reasons why if you want to

Most people live in the surrounding metro area and do need a car.

Oh boy!
$700 a month car payment you never had, registration fees go up $1,200 a year and you can’t charge your car at an apartment complex.
Why do you Leftards hate the poor so much?
WTF are you talking about?

You are assuming that I believe everyone MUST buy an EV and once again you prove ASSholes make ASSumptions
