I love seeing how many posters are ignorant about the difference between German Measles and Measles.

About 25 years ago, I hurt my ankle in Glasgow, so I went to the hospital for an x-ray. I asked them what this rash was and the whole room cleared. Apparently it was German measles. I think I was off work for a couple of weeks and that was really it.

To this day, I've never read up on what German measles is all about. So I think I'll finally Google it.

Edit - just read up on it. Had all my jabs as a kid, had the MMR vaccine. Just means I'm immune to future infections! Apparently it's a mild thing if you're not a pregnant woman.

My older sister got the measles and had hospitalized, with her temperature reaching 106 and an eye infection. This was in the mid 1960’s. I was a baby.

I had serious food allergies to all fowl and could not get the vaccine at all. Since everyone in my school was vaccinated, I was protected.
