Fact 8: Erasing things from flight simulator games/programs is VERY common

Side note: As a lifelong techie, I played flight simulator games myself from the late 80s to the mid 90s. I have a childhood friend who played them even more than myself. He's now a professional pilot back home in the Caribbean. We added and deleted stuff all the time, based on space and/or other factors. Sometimes you just don't need or want it anymore.

PERTH, Australia (CBS News/CBSDC/AP) — Malaysia’s prime minister said Monday that the missing Malaysia Airlines flight “ended in the southern Indian Ocean.”

It has been “concluded that MH370 flew along the southern corridor and that it’s last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth,” Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said at a press conference.

New satellite data shows that the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 plunged into the southern Indian Ocean.

“This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites. It is therefore, with deep sadness and regret, that I must inform you that according to this new data, Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean,” Razak said.

Kinda awkward that the pilot's family takes off the day before the plane disappears, no? If that isn't a dead giveaway that this was a preplanned event I don't know what is.
