Filed my first ever complaint at the gym.

I just got back from the gym where I filed a complaint at the desk about a man with a severe cough. I mean a clinical cough, every ten or twenty seconds. He was making the rounds on all the Nautilous machines coughing his head off. No one could hear him becuse they all had those earbuds in their ears. What do you think?

I would have informed the desk, then watched to see if they did anything about it.

If they didn't I would then inform them that there would be formal report made to the health department.

I doubt if anything was done. There were kids at the desk and unless there is a formal policy about coughing they have no power to act.

Have a few older people at my gym that do the same thing. One of them is constantly clearing his throat. To me, it sounds like breathing issues. Not a "sick" cough. So I keep my distance but I don't say anything.
Getting old sucks.

What Westwall said in post #2. Older people don't need to be around some ass clown who sprays his spit all over the place with zero regard for others. If those kids don't feel like doing anything just go to their bosses.

I think it could have been a million things. COPD. Asthma. Chronic bronchitis, not contagious. What did you expect the people to do, go demand his private health information?

This is the worst remnant of Covid IMO. Everyone else's health status is suddenly YOUR business. It's not. If the guy is coughing and you think it's contagious, then YOU protect YOURSELF.
