Female blogger is ordered to pay US Army colonel she accused of rape $8.4million in damages after he claimed the false allegations cost him a sparkling military career

A jury has ordered a female blogger to pay an Army colonel she accused of rape a total of $8.4million in damages. Susan Shannon, 52, who now lives in Everett, Washington, first alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Army Colonel David 'Wil' Riggins in 1986, while they were both cadets, on her blog in 2013. She said she waited three decades to come forward about her experience because of the army's 'code of silence'.

How about throwing her lying ass in PRISON! When a woman makes a false allegation of rape she needs to be thrown behind bars, period! She perjured herself.
These bloggers are finally getting sued left & right! They sit behind their computers and trash businesses, people and politicians, it's time that they are held accountable for ramifications of their false reports!!
Hmm..., Will someone get a copy of this news to Christine Blasey Ford and her husband?
I hope everyone reading this gets smarter when sitting on a jury. Ask for the police reports! Nothing in court is factual because you can't submit the truth! Be smart and ask questions and not the show they put on! A reputation is like glass and china. Where do you go when it's falsely shattered.
If you decide not to report a crime such as this at the time, or a period of time after it occurred, and to never mention the subject, you have essentially decided to let the matter go. To bring the assault up and accuse the man decades after it happened you should expect some fallback. The person cannot defend himself. Witnesses, alibis and memories have moved on or have been forgotten. If he really did this crime, I feel sorry for the victim, but there really is no way to prove her story.

We now live in a world where a woman can accuse a man of rape, assault or worse more than three decades old and be believed with nothing to substantiate her claim. Take for example Susan Shannon and now Christine Blasey Ford.
No matter what is said Colonel David 'Wil' Riggins and Judge Brett Kavanaugh have been smeared and there's no way to get their reputations back.
