They're indicted but have yet to be convicted, so the corrupt mayor, city manager and two city councilors will continue to serve. That ought to make for some awkward city council meetings.

Federal Corruption Case Snares Leaders of South Texas City

Almost every top official in a remote South Texas city was arrested Thursday under a detailed federal indictment that accuses them of taking bribes from contractors and sending city workers to help an illegal gambling operator nicknamed "Mr. T."

Most small Texas towns are corrupt. Just look at boundary map of Coffee City, TX. The city only incorporates long stretches of highways & shoreline to maximize ticket revenue from tourist & travelers by using their corrupt revenue generating police department of 50 previously fired police for this town of only 250 citizens. Their police chief is a fugitive from FL.
