I disagree. The Fat Boy realizes that he cannot "win" any serious conflict with the outside world. But he is following his ancestors' practice of threatening to act outrageously, with the expectation that he will ultimately be rewarded for not doing what he threatens to do. He gives up nothing, but gets paid off anyway.

May not work with the Trumpeter, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I predict that it will never go beyond bellicose talk on both sides.
