Is there a single accomplishment Barack Obama has made since assuming office? I look back at everything he has done, both foreign and domestic and all I see is failure.
His first move in office was an order closing Gitmo. Two years in it is still open. Not only is it still open but COngress has passed legislation mandating it remain open. Of all the inmates released, 25% of them have resumed the battle against the U.S. This is according to a CIA report I saw mentioned in today's WSJ. And that number is an undercount.
Obama's plan to try KSM in NY courts has failed. His plan to try any terrorist in civilian courts has failed , after a jury nearly acquitted one accused terrorist.
Obama's opening on Israeli-Palestinian peace talks is now dead.
Obama's strategy on Iran is wrong and likely dead.
Obama's opening to Russia is functionally dead.
Obama's event at the Copenhagen climate summit, lauded by one idiotic poster here, has resulted in exactly nothing. And the subsequent climate talks in Rio are dead.
He was awared the Nobel Peace Prize largely on his promise to reduce war. Instead he has implemented a losing policy in Afghanistan that has resulted in many American fatalities and many more civilian Afghan and Pakistani fatalities.
His plan of Cash for CLunkers was a failure, puishing demand into the present while doing nothing for the auto makers. It was recvealed that the only reason hybrid cars from GM and Chrysler have sold is because the US government is buying up all they can.
His stimulus is dead, revealed as a failure every singel day with more and research showing it did nothing to stimulate the economy, as though anyone could think a 9.8% unemployment rate was success.
His healthcare policy is likely dead. I say his, although Obama failed to produce a health care policy. Democrats in Congress took the reins, producing something so revolting its failure is apparent even before its full implementation. The administraiton has to issue waivers every week to keep the illusion of success.
Obama's tax policy is a failure. He came into office vowing to end the Bush tax cuts. Now he has pissed off his own party by agreeing to extend them, acknowledging the failure of Obamanomics.
His policy to end DADT is a failure, with congressmen and the military wrangling over it. Isn't he supposed to be the Commander in Chief?
