A story in the Atlantic caught my eye this am. They claim that Dr Oz made a ludicrous on its face statement; That Pennsylvania was on the Atlantic Ocean. But when you listen to the interview, he actually said that it was an "Atlantic Ocean regional state". When you investigate it further the river that runs up one side of the state is navigable waters for ships. So, the state is not landlocked, and Oz is technically correct. But now the left wing surrogates are running with the smear.

Five minutes and I found the smear laughable on several fronts. But this is all they have, personal destruction and smears. no policy or anything positive to run on.

Whoops! Pennsylvania Senate Candidate Oz Tells Hannity the State Borders the Atlantic Ocean – It Doesn’t (msn.com)

And this is why we call it FAKE NEWS...

No defense of this crap from our resident libs? Really.... Its so blatant that even you all won't defend it? And you wonder why people are leaving the Democrat-socialists party in droves...

Umm, it doesn't. By the time Delaware Bay makes it to PA, it's the Delaware River.

Basic geography. Really should be taught in schools. Especially in red states. :)

 He never said that Pennsylvania bordered the Atlantic ocean in the first place, you low IQ and therefore easily brainwashed by fake news moron.

He said that Pennsylvania is in the Atlantic region.

FYI:

About the Mid-Atlantic Region

Based in Philadelphia, GSA's Mid-Atlantic Region provides products and services throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, West Virginia, and much of Maryland and Virginia*.

And Pennsylvania is not " hopelessly landlocked", as the fake news falsely claimed. Not only does Pennsylvania have a major international shipping port in Philidelphia on the Delaware river that goes right to the Atlantic ocean, it also has another international shipping port in Erie, right on Lake Erie.

So, Pennsylvania has maritime access to the Atlantic ocean and the great lakes. It is quite obviously not "hopelessly landlocked" by any stretch of the term.

Two points...

One, he never said it bordered the Atlantic only that it was one of the Atlantic region states. Listening is paramount.

Two, the Delaware is navigable for sea vessels, and they do have ports. SO, he is still technically correct even with your inability to listen.

Now go play in the street...

He was probably thinking about New Jersey, the state he actually lives in.

Just stop. Jesus. It's a RIVER. Not the ocean. LOL.
Instead of just laughing it off, Oz's defenders have made him look even dumber than he is. :)

Nice straw man... to bad its ashes... already..
It's just a slip up. Similar to how he made up the name of a grocery store when he was buying ingredients for crudité, since he'd never bought groceries in Pennsylvania, or possibly anywhere, before.

By every measure I know, PA is one of the Mid-Atlantic States. And as the Chesapeake Bay comes up to Philadelphia, just more Flotsam thrown out there by the desperate left banking on all voters being as stupid as their base.

Basic like the fact that the port of Pittsburgh is the second-largest inland port in the United States and the 18th-largest port overall; the Port of Philadelphia is the 24th-largest port in the United States. Pennsylvania's other port is on the Great Lakes located in Erie. The Allegheny River Lock and Dam Two is the most-used lock operated by the United States Army Corps of Engineers of its 255 nationwide connecting Pittsburgh to the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico. Pennsylvania has 51 miles of coastline along Lake Erie and 57 miles of shoreline along the Delaware Estuary. The state has five geographical regions, namely the Allegheny Plateau, Ridge and Valley, Atlantic Coastal Plain, Piedmont, and the Erie Plain. Hardly landlocked, though this changes nothing of Oz correctly referring to PA as a mid-Atlantic state.

Apparently not taught in your school. And there are no "red states." Name me one state that has only one party or the other in it that has never voted for one party or the other? Yea, I thought so.

Jackoff, you have an unrivaled talent for misunderstanding the topic, then changing the argument to something never said, then arguing against your own points which you invent. The word ocean never once even entered into Oz's discussion. You just heard that like all the other voices in your head.

Another one who needs a geography lesson. You and Oz could be in the same class. :auiqs.jpg:
Again, it would have been so much easier just to laugh Oz's statement off and not make a big deal out of it.

It..doesn't..touch..the..ocean. :)

Here comes my resident starker again still unable to come to grips that the State of Pa is connected to the ocean at three different port locations!

Oz is gonna beat Festerman.

OZ is going to beat Festerman.

OZ is going to beat Festerman,

And all of Jack's little tin soldiers are crumbing down.

Our three major ports — Port of Philadelphia, Port of Pittsburgh, and Port of Erie — each contribute unique advantages for in-state and global companies. Over 67 million tons of goods come through our ports each year, representing nearly $50 billion in value.
