Facebook is is having and is going to have a lot of problems as it as it tries to get closer back to what it thought it was to be. It functional use has gone far beyond linking the current activities of actual friends. It is doubtful that anyone actually has thousands of friends. Indeed, friend requests come often from fake accounts, people I never heard of, some personally trying to expand their influence, and some trying to expand the influence of organizations, often times for political influence alone. it is not a platform to be trusted to convey meaningful truth or reality. I believe Facebook feels misused during the last election even though it generated huge sums of money being misused and now feels self guilt. Well, that's just tough. As they go about this, overstep reactions will be made, but Facebook belongs to Facebook. If you don't like it, dump it. Trying to start a pity party on USMB over what you perceive as and outrage is wasted keyboard time.
