Facebook has invoked its free speech right as a publisher, insisting its ability to smear users as extremists is protected – but its legal immunity thus far has rested on a law that protects platforms, not publishers. Which is it?
Facebook Declares It’s a ‘Publisher,’ Can Censor Whomever It Wants

Laura Loomer labors under the delusion she has a First Amendment right to a social media account. She doesn't. No one does.

Good thing then that Facebook is just one more leftard service I have absolutely no need for.

She DOES. Facebook is a PLATFORM. They cannot promote themselves as both.

Infowars is a PUBLISHER.

Facebook is a private, free service. Since you pay for nothing, you are entitled to nothing.

Frankly I don't understand the allure of splashing the mundane details of your life all over a webpage, or "being connected" 24/7 to people you don't know who "friend" you. Seems narcissistic and childish.

You're just not that important.

That's not what all people use Facebook for. That's why this is an issue.

Businesses use it to connect with potential customers

I don't even find my own life all that interesting; I have trouble picturing anyone else finding it interesting. But then, I'm not a millennial or younger.

I have Facebook, but I use it primarily to keep in touch with my own family members and real-life friends, many of whom do not live in the same city or even state that I do. It is extremely handy for that purpose.

No, she really doesn’t. Loomer is free to start a rival platform if she so wishes. I’m sure it will be a smash hit considering on how viciously oppressed conservatives are on social media.

So? Still, it's a free service. They can set whatever requirements they like.

No, they are legally a PLATFORM. They cannot legally censor legal words and ideas that offend them

All users are subject to platform terms, which may be legally modified at whim.
