Ex Solyndra Employees To Get $13,000 Package From Taxpayers!

The Labor Department today announced that it had approved Trade Adjustment Assistance for the former employees of the bankrupt solar panel maker Solyndra.

That means all of the firm’s 1,100 ex-employees are eligible for federal aid packages, including job retraining and income assistance. The department has valued packages at about $13,000 a head.

Ex-Solyndra Staff Eligible For TAA Federal Aid; Packages Worth Average $13,000 Each

Did other bankrupt company employees get income assistance from the taxpayers? Why is Solyndra just so special?

It looks like any bankrupt company's former employees can, in fact, get assistance, just like Solyndra's.

Who the fuck needs solar when we have e-cat? Seriously, if the e-cat is for reals then we republicans can beat the democrats over the head with something a million times better then solar...Something that will be able to replace oil and coal for good.

We then can come out as the party of green and a strong economy.

I'm very skeptical that it could possibly work, and as long as the "inventor" is refusing to let anyone actually take any sorts of measurements or examine the equipment, I'm going to assume that it's fiction.

We republicans are already starting to do just that!

From Sen. Tarr’s page (Tarr Talk: Cold Fusion Inventor Comes to Boston)

Andrea Rossi, an engineer who has captured the attention of the scientific world with two successful tests of his “E-Cat” cold fusion reactor, arrived at the State House on Tuesday morning for two days of meetings with government officials and representatives of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Massachusetts and Northeastern University.

Mr. Rossi’s reactor, if successfully proven and developed, has the potential to change the way the world deals with energy, and I’m pleased that he’s willing to discuss basing its production in Massachusetts. Rossi began his schedule in the state this morning and it will conclude later in the evening.

Rossi’s E-Cat reactor, which has thus far been developed and tested in the Italian city of Bologna, is intended to produce large amounts of energy from a reaction between nickel and hydrogen. The reaction produces heat which then heats water to produce steam, from which electricity can be generated. Importantly, the process creates little to no radiation, a major problem for the nuclear fission process currently used to produce power in reactors around the world.

The enormous potential of this technology demands that it be addressed by the best scientific minds in the world. Since Massachusetts is the home of some of the best colleges and universities in the world, it makes sense for that process to happen here.

Our institutions of higher learning have been tremendous in their response to this opportunity, and I look forward to working with them.

Bruce E. Tarr (born January 2, 1964[2]) is the minority leader of the Massachusetts Senate.[3] He has been a member of the Senate since 1995, representing the 1st Essex and Middlesex District. He is a member of the United States Republican Party and a former member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. In June 2009 fellow Republican state senator Scott Brown described the 5 member senate caucus as "led" by Senator Tarr.

I'm skeptical too and wish for some real scienctist to take a look at it(within a third party), but if it turns out real then this is huge. This is going to have huge impacts in many area's.

Cold Fusion is the holy grail of applied physics, but I'm going to have to see it peer-reviewed before I get my hopes up.

This Money should be taken directly from Obama & Reid's bank accounts. That would be justice.
