European MPs warn Israel of intercepting their convoy to Gaza

I was mistaken here is the US ship story.

The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a United States Navy technical research ship, USS Liberty, by Israeli jet fighter planes and motor torpedo boats, on June 8, 1967, during the ongoing Six-Day War. The combined air and sea attack killed 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two Marines, and a civilian), wounded 171 crew members, and severely damaged the ship. At the time, the ship was in international waters north of the Sinai Peninsula, about 25.5 nmi (29.3 mi; 47.2 km) northwest from the Egyptian city of Arish.[1]

Both the Israeli and U.S, governments conducted inquiries[2] into the incident, and issued reports, which concluded that the attack was a mistake, due to Israeli confusion about the identity of the USS Liberty. Some U.S. diplomats, veterans and intelligence officials who were involved in the incident continue to dispute these official findings, saying the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty was not a mistake, and it remains the only major maritime incident in U.S. history not investigated by the U.S. Congress.[3]

In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3,323,500 as full payment to the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3,566,457 in compensation to the men who had been wounded. On 18 December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million as settlement for the U.S. claim of $7,644,146 for material damage to the Liberty itself.[4]

Completely bogus.

the group of pro-Israel, anti-American critics of our story, while small, persists in launching loud, vicious ad hominem attacks on anyone who attempts to discuss the deliberateness of the attack. These anti-American apologists refuse to discuss the facts of the case. Instead, they rely on propaganda and charge anyone who questions the Israeli position with being antiSemitic.

Perhaps you could explain the collapse of the Greek economy and how that compares to Argentina or the West Bank.

The collapse of Greece's economy was exacerbated by the billions in foreign aid to the Pallies each year from the EU that is wasted as it goes down one big Pallie rat hole.

Before Israel there was one country that was self sufficient.

Now we have two countries on welfare.

Good plan.:clap2:

Not to mention all the money the world pays to support refugees who used to support themselves.

There are no refugees.
Yet another subject about which you are entirely clueless

ISTANBUL, (PIC)-- The Turkish Saadet (felicity) party declared its participation in the fleet of ships heading to the besieged Gaza Strip in cooperation with the IHH relief foundation and Free Gaza movement in addition to other humanitarian organizations.

Head of the party Numan Kurtulmus told a news conference held in Istanbul on Tuesday that his party will support the fleet of ships as it did earlier with the Lifeline convoy.

Kurtulmus highlighted that Israel is the only entity which has no formal borders with neighboring countries for it is still expanding and encroaching gradually into the Palestinian lands, and imposing an oppressive blockade on Gaza without any consideration to international condemnation.

For his part, head of the IHH Bulent Yildirim said that more than 40 lawmakers will be on board the ships, noting that the harbor basin is being deepened in order to accommodate the large ships that will come to participate in the fleet.

In a related context, the Jordanian Lifeline committee headed by former dean of engineers Wa’el Al-Saqa declared during a meeting held Tuesday in the compound of trade unions the launch of an intensive campaign to collect donations for the besieged Palestinians in Gaza.

Saqa said that the campaign is aimed at preparing a Jordanian aid convoy consisting mainly of building materials and then sending it to Gaza through the fleet of ships that will set sail from Turkey next month.
