what you always must do is introduce capitalism since it is self- correcting.

Ed, your simple provincial brain is probably not willing to consider this. But many european countries do not want american capitalism. They prefer what they have.

There are no pure "socialist" economies. There are no pure "capitalist" economies. There never have been. All are mixed economies and the only question is what that mix will be.

Europe is a little more socialistic than we are. Not a hell of a lot actually.

too stupid!! Of course they don't prefer what they may well have:implosion bankruptcy and poverty. As liberals they will lack the IQ to understand capitalism so cant see how it is a cure.

At the moment there is a huge huge difference? We can print money to pay our bills while Europe can't. This means they have to live within their means as Germany requires!!

There system is forcing them to live responsibly and within their means so if they can survive they may come out ahead of us!

Ed, me boy, you continually call Liberals stupid. Which is your wont, as a con dogma slinger. But that is your opinion. If it is true, I am sure there must be some independent study out there proving it. I looked, but could only find several saying the opposite. Here is a link to an article about a recent study, which again proves that conservatives are generally stupid. Which would explain you, ed.

The right's stupidity spreads, enabled by a too-polite left | George Monbiot | Comment is free | The Guardian
