The dismantling of America's freedoms one amendment at a time - Dothan Christianity | Examiner.com

This administration surrendered our sovereign rights of war-making to foreign powers and international authorities. This was done when we attacked Libya without consulting Congress. This is a violation of the Constitution Article 1, Section 8 and U.S. Code Title 50, Chapter 33:1541-1548.

In 2009, Mr. Obama accepted a foreign title and office, while President, when he assumed the Chairmanship of the U.N. Security Council. This is the international body responsible for declaring war on behalf of the U.N. This is a violation of the Constitution Article I, Section 9.

The current administration defied a Federal Court Order when they refused to cease from the unconstitutional implementation of the "Patient Healthcare and Affordable Care Act of 2010. This violates the Constitution Article II, Section 3, and Article III, Sections 1 and 2.

The current NSA spy scandal is in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment which says:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The First Amendment has been violated more than one time. The most recent was when H.R. 347 was passed which sets up no free speech zones. This law gives the Secret Service power to prohibit citizens from engaging in protests anywhere the Secret Service is present.

Under this law, a person can be arrested by the Secret Service and charged with a felony for peacefully standing on the sidewalk shouting at someone who is in the protection of the Secret Service.

The list of violations against our freedoms is endless and far too numerous to list in this short article. James Madison warned us about something like this happening when he said:

“Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of freedoms of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.

Most of our leaders seem to be uncaring and have no intention of upholding the words they speak. They have no second thoughts about violating the oath they took to support and defend our Constitution. They easily dismiss the solemnity of this sacred oath. So then can they be trusted to run our nation when they can't keep their word?

Where are our Praetorians who will guard our Constitution and its Republic of the American people? The people wont do it themselves without leadership from the top.
