• Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s president-elect, on Saturday shook the hand of an Israeli diplomatic official for the first time in six years, Channel 10 reported.

Erdogan, who won the presidency on August 10 after serving as prime minister for the previous 11 years, met and shook hands with Yosef Levi Sfari, the chargé d’affaires of Israel’s embassy in Ankara, during a reception with diplomats to mark Turkey’s Victory Day – a celebration of the nation’s independence.

• Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s president-elect, on Saturday shook the hand of an Israeli diplomatic official for the first time in six years, Channel 10 reported.

A world of strange bedfellows. The leftist/Nazi/Muslim (we'll just call 'em anti-Israel) cabal loves to crow when some diplomatic split occurs with Israel or when the US holds up a weapons delivery. They are stone silent (or scream like stuck pigs) when the rift is mended or the weapons are delivered. Right now the "Isis Crisis" (copyright pending) coupled with "Hamas's Big Blunder" (movie rights pending) and the death throes of the "Arab Spring" (crowing rights pending) has created a waaay bigger fish than the plight of those hapless Gazans and the silence is deafening. Even Israel's "Land Grab" has failed to generate the usual wailing, hand-wringing and teeth-gnashing from the cabal's leading voice (also known as the UN).
