US Rep. Emanuel Cleaver helps woman in distress - News - Missouri - bnd.com

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A spokeswoman for U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver says the lawmaker doesn't want to be portrayed as a hero after stopping to help a woman in distress.

The Democrat was riding in a car Friday in Kansas City when he spotted someone waving a hand from a clump of weeds.

I don't much care for your positions but you sir ARE a hero. Very few would stop to investigate in those areas of town. Most would have waved back or simply ignored it.

Job well done. :clap2:

Hero? No, but a decent human being... absolutely. Good for him.

If he's not a hero, then what is a hero?

I think "hero" is an overused word, like "racist".

I think I made myself quite clear. I agree 'hero' is an overused word. Which is kind of my point. He's not. But he is a decent human being. I see nothing wrong with being a decent human being. It's quite a good thing to be.

In Missouri he was a decent human being. In California, Arizona or the Texas border he would be not only a fool, but likely a dead fool.

interesting that some repubs on this site can not even write a good word about a democrat

Because the Sig I have now bothers the little boys like you who get butt hurt over such trivial issues.
