Imagine you go to a high school football game between two heated rivals. The game is close but the home team wins. It seemed like the officiating was a little questionable, but so what?
Then the next day you read in the papers that of the twenty-five penalties called by the officials, 24 went against the visiting team. The news report goes on to say that every member of the officiating team, down to the guy handling the clock, were all members of the home team's alumni club.
A maintenance man who worked in the officials' locker rooms tells local news reporters that he overheard the officials both before and after the game, laughing about how the Visitors had no chance of winning - they would make sure of that!
The head coach of the visiting team points out the discrepancies and says that his team actually won "by a landslide" but the cheating stole victory from them. The league commissioner asks the head official if the officials cheated. He says, surprisingly, that they did not. His official statement is that "there is no evidence of cheating."
Everyone associated with the visiting team who says anything publicly that questions the results of the game will be disciplined or fired.
In the 2020 Presidential election, there are 18-20 "bellweather" jurisdictions, that "always" indicate who will win the election. Trump won in all but one, most prominently Florida and Ohio - which he won by a LOT. In Pennsylvania, there were 200,000 more votes counted than voters. In the key swing states, observers and administrators reported scores of incidents of voting irregularities and NONE OF THEM has been called upon to testify under penalty of perjury. Seventy million Americans have strong suspicions that the election was stolen and more than half of all voters believe that there were irregularities that impacted vote counts.
And yet, we are told that "there is no evidence of voting irregularity" and anyone who publicly expresses this belief is silenced or cancelled.
The football analogy is apropos. This election stunk, and there has been no serious inquiry.
And now Congress (HR-1) wants to ensure that all of the bullshit procedures that crippled this election are made permanent and nation-wide.
