Economic Fascism and the Bailout Economy - Gary North - Mises Institute

Excellent article describing the true insolvency of the fractional-reserve system, and how it's been slowly coming unglued, and it was just in October where it fell apart.

But I want to link that article in with a recent current event.

Rick Sentalli ripped apart Obama's housing plan, because, who in their right mind would advocate a system where it'd be morally acceptable for a person to pay for his neighbor's mortgage.

And Washington's response:

Sentalli should not speak, since he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Freedom of speech, freedom over our money, freedom of everything, pretty much, to be vanishing before our very eyes. It's a fascinating (and scary) time we're living in right now. During 1989-1991, when the Soviet's fascist system collapsed, we were in shock, and yet again, similarly, our system is collapsing as well. Who could have honestly said 6 months ago that every single major bank in the U.S. would be insolvent? Well, the Austrian economists did, as the very virtue of a fractional-reserve system.
