Dems are such hypocrites. GOP should hammer Hill over this but they won't.

It's a grassroots group's button, not the campaign's.

DUMBASS.

I agree. She has been exposed as queen of the hypocrits

Says the bozo racist freak toting fake quotes in his sigline for over a year.

It's amazingly easy to see the origin of the Hillary pins, but some folks just have to ignore the obvious, so they can get their hate-athon masturbation thingy going.

The Confederate flag is as deeply ingrained in Democrat history as white sheets are to their KKK

It's the same thing they tried with the "Hillary Clinton put out a list of words you can't say" crapola. That was another third party. It's the same bullshit they try to pull with the "Democrats started the KKK" and "Hitler was a Liberal" mythologies.

It's like associating the Republican Party with the Klan on the basis of this

The KKK is a big part of dem history for sure. Until 2010 Democrat and former clansman Robert Byrd was in the US Senate!! That's right 2010.

.

Here that everybody? This loony says it's NOT a campaign button.

HAHAHA. More desperation from the dems.

It's from eBay, not "the dems", whatever the fuck that is.
See, I went to read the actual auction, on the actual eBay site (item number 11701796565) This is what the seller says:

Rare political collectible from a grassroots presidential campaign. In very good condition, as pictured, with minor signs of wear. "Travelers" was shortened to "Travlers" for brevity due to space constraints on the button face.

From a October 24, 2007 CBS/AP news story titled "Arkansas Travelers Hit Road for Hillary": "It's presidential campaign season and the Arkansas Travelers hit the road again to tell American voters outside the state the Clinton story. This time, they are talking up Hillary Clinton, the front-runner among Democrats in the 2008 presidential race, not her husband and former President Bill Clinton. Longtime friends of the Clintons, the Arkansas Travelers helped introduce their relatively unknown governor in 1992 to the country and toured the nation again on his behalf when he won re-election to the White House in 1996." The group made trips to South Carolina, among other states, during the 2008 presidential campaign.

indeed

in 1962 to mark the centennial of the start of the Civil War the southern cross was first flown over the state Capitol of SC

which was passed by the democrat Legislature

No, actually it isn't. The KKK was founded by six Confederate veterans with no known political affiliation. That one died in the 1870s. The second KKK was founded by William Simmons in 1915 in Georgia. He had no known political affiliation either.

Simmons did however hire a PR team to try to expand to other parts of the country. They got a governor and senator elected in Indiana (both Republicans), another governor and senator elected in Colorado (again, both Republicans), and a governor and mayor elected in Oregon and Portland respectively (one Democrat, the other Republican).

In other words when they dabbled in politics at all they used whatever party worked to acquire power. Which is all political parties exist for anyway.

DUMBASS.

The Ku Klux Klan was formed as a social club by a group of Confederate Army veterans in Pulaski, Tennessee in the winter of 1865-66. The group adopted the name Ku Klux Klan from the Greek word "kyklos," meaning circle, and the English word clan. In the summer of 1867, the Klan became the "Invisible Empire of the South" at a convention in Nashville, Tennessee attended by delegates from former Confederate states. The group was presided over General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who is believed to have been the first Grand Wizard -- the title for the head of the organization.
Lesser officers were given such names as Grand Dragon, Grand Titan, and Grand Cyclops. Dressed in robes and sheets, intended to prevent identification by the occupying federal troops (and supposedly designed to frighten blacks), the Klan quickly became a terrorist organization in service of the Democratic Party and white supremacy. Between 1869 and 1871 its goal was to destroy Congressional Reconstruction by murdering blacks -- and some whites -- who were either active in Republican politics or educating black children.

Why do they keep trying to lie about history? It boggles the mind.

These lies are just as bad as the asshole mantra of "once upon a time the Dixiecrats all became Republicans one day in the early sixties".

It's nuts.

"The Board" didn't note shit. I didn't address Byrd. But if you want him addressed, and imagine you have an "issue", he quit the Klan before he even ran for office. In the 1940s.

That it is. I do what I can.

I don't know who suggested Dixiecrats were still around in the '60s. That was a one-and-done in 1948.

Many sadly. Pogo I love history and take it how it happened and attempt to analyze it from fact. What is really distressing these days is that even historians depending on their political stance attempt to spin.

I mean come on here. Give us facts. Give us dates. Give us the players and let us attempt to understand that moment in time. In context.
