Buried inside a story about how the Obama Administration knew 48 hrs before the attacks that killed 4 embassy staff members including the Libyan ambassador was an emerging belief that the real cause was not that stupid video released 6 months ago but Drone Strikes that continue under the Obama Administration. This puts an entirely different perspective on why the State Department has been releasing conflicting statements during this crisis.
Now we understand. The Arab world is extremely angry because of the continued Drone strikes that have become commonplace in the Middle-East and are the primary weapon of choice of the Obama Administration.
So in effect, Obama is directly responsible for the anger that led to attacks at embassies all over the Middle-East, a fact that has up until now gone unreported and has been a very touchy subject recently. During the DNC a reporter was removed from the convention floor by security when he made the mistake of asking Valerie Jarrett about Obama's continued Drone strikes and his rumored "Kill List".
Seems the Administration knew something during the DNC that we didn't. They knew it was not playing well in the Middle-East and was becoming a problem weeks ago.
Senior officials are increasingly convinced, however, that the ferocious nature of the Benghazi attack, in which rocket-propelled grenades were used, indicated it was not the result of spontaneous anger due to the video, called Innocence of Muslims. Patrick Kennedy, Under-Secretary at the State Department, said he was convinced the assault was planned due to its extensive nature and the proliferation of weapons.
There is growing belief that the attack was in revenge for the killing in a drone strike in Pakistan of Mohammed Hassan Qaed, an al-Qa'ida operative who was, as his nom-de-guerre Abu Yahya al-Libi suggests, from Libya, and timed for the anniversary of the 11 September attacks.
