At least 12 Turkish soldiers have been killed following an ambush by Kurdish rebels near the Iraqi border - with 23 rebels also killed, officials say.
The PKK guerrilla group said it had also taken "several" soldiers hostage.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has recalled security officials to Ankara for a crisis meeting.

Correspondents say the attacks will increase the pressure on the government to launch raids into Iraq, after it was given clearance to do so by parliament.

I guess terrorists just ain't very bright no matter what their idealism and/or ethnicity is.

Instead of allowing incendiary morons like canavar's voices to be heard, the US and Turkey need to come to an agreement and work bilaterally to crush these terrorists in a vise.

Turkey's parliament has given permission for the government to launch military operations into Iraq in pursuit of Kurdish rebels.
The vote was taken in defiance of pressure from the US and Iraq, which have called on Turkey for restraint.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said the motion does not mean a military operation is imminent.

But he said Turkey needed to be able to respond to a recent rise in bomb attacks blamed on PKK rebels from Iraq.

Turkish MPs backed him overwhelmingly, by 507 votes to 19.

As the vote was being counted, US President George W Bush strongly urged Turkey, a key ally, not to carry out the threatened action.

He said Washington was "making it clear to Turkey it is not in their interest to send more troops in... there is a better way to deal with the issue".

I was tempted to put this in the humor section. GW needs to let someone else make THAT statement for him.

Turkey has given Iraq a list with Persons to be dispatched to Turkey to avoid war.

In this list there are:
- Messud Barzani's Son Mesrur Barzani (Intelligence chief of "Kurdistan")
- Osman, parliament speaker of "Kurdistan"
- PKK-Commander Karayilan

We will eliminate whole Barzani-Clan in North-Iraq. Army stated this eventuality in April 2007. This list with Barzani's son now confirms this motive.

North-Iraqi Kurds do need real democracy. Nespotism is not that what people deserve:

- Mesrur Barzani, Son (Intelligence Chief of "Kurdistan")
- Nechirvan Barzani , Nephew (Prime Minister of "Kurdistan")
- Massud Barzani, Father (Clan-Chief of "Kurdistan")
- Zebari, Cousin (Iraqi Foreign Minister)

We will end this and bring real democracy to the people in North-Iraq and establish North-Iraq as "Lighthouse of democracy" for whole region.
You either be with us or against us.

How about nameing the operation
"Operation Kurdi Freedom" ?

The son of Barzani is at the target
Barzani's son is included in the list
20.10.2007

According to Iraqi news agencies, 36 authorities in autonomous Kurdish government and Barzani's son are included in the list of the people Turkey wanted to be arrested.

Turkish Army will pull them out of an earth whole, just USA Army did with Saddam-Family. Barzani-Clan's end is near.
Out of this will come true democracy for people of North-Iraq.
Cleaned from Nespotism, Corruption and power-conecentrateing on a dictator family, which represents the "circle of evil".

Off Course Turkey is currently also shelling North-Iraq with artillery.
This artillery-shelling is not for revenge, but for strategic preparations.

The deputy governor of the Kurdish province of Dahuk, Gorkeis Sulaiman, said the Turkish shelling targeted areas close to the towns of Zakhu and Amadiya, destroying a bridge linking two villages near Amadiya.

Strategic aims are destroyed to limit operability of Barzani's clowns, called the peshmarga.

The expression Turkey does not have anything to do with the animal.
Neither in Turkish, Italian, French, Arabic, Spanish or German language Turkey is equivalent to an animal.
It is unique in English language.

Indigenious Turkey means Türkiye.
And a Turk is called Türk.

The Turkish name Türkiye subdivides into two words: Türk, which refers to "strong" in Turkish and usually signifies the habitants of Turkey or a member of Turkish nation; and the Arabic suffix iye which means "owner" or "related to".

The Nomenclature of our people come from Chinese language. The derivation from the Chinese word is "Türk" or "Türüt".
The Chinese nomenclature is "Tujue" which means powerfull or strong.

The name Tujue appeared in Chinese sources relatively late, the first record being dated 542 meaning "strong" or "powerful".[1]

The Republic of Turkiye recognizes 16 Empires as its ancestors.
- Göktürk Empire
- Great Hun Empire
- Golden Horde
- Timur Empire
- Seljuk Empire
- Ottoman Empire

We always were ourselves masters. Ruled by noone. And our metal balls are hardening again after a passive and isolationsitic period of 20th century.

Look Goebbels ... I posted the articles in case anyone wanted to hear something on the topic other than your propaganda, not so you could pile more ultra-nationalistic garbage onto it.
