Does the Republican base really think RW Billionaires are "on their side"?

From the OP..

We know Scott Walker spent 7 to 1 over his Democratic challenger. Some right wingers dispute that, but over the next few weeks, as deadlines for reporting disclosure come due, we will find out the "truth".

Don't need to wait weeks.. It's a bald-face lie.. I can list 6 Wisc orgs that donated MORE than $10M to fund the recall.. Walker was just lazy with fund-raising for his "REPORTABLE" side of the campaign..

So -- about millionaires.. It's NOT SOROS or KOCH or professional pranksters like Rove that BUY OFF VOTES.. It's the politicians once they get in office who BUY OFF VOTES... The latter money exceeds the former by a factor of at least 200.

That includes gifts and candy for dam near every constituent in America. Free loans, Free food, Free med care, Risk-free lives, More coal, more cute pinwheelly thingys.. Something for everyone...

To WHINE and continually crap your britches about campaign ads and banners and the boogeymen that buy them is annoying. Almost as annoying of 30 pages on USMB on whether "Romney Impersonated an Officer"...

Worrying about what billionaires do with their money is a progressive past time, not a "RW".

I'm not worried about billionaires. I'm worried about the Republican who pander to them.

I'm a right wing billionaire and you can bet your ass I'm on my side.

Sure you are.

How Karl Rove's Billionaire-Backed Super PAC Will Be Election Game Changer - Forbes

American Crossroads has collected more money in a short time than John McCain's entire campaign spent. We know Scott Walker spent 7 to 1 over his Democratic challenger. Some right wingers dispute that, but over the next few weeks, as deadlines for reporting disclosure come due, we will find out the "truth". According to those living in Wisconsin, some have said nearly every other commercial was an ad for Scott Walker. Those numbers will also become available.

In Virginia, Crossroads GPS, which was formed with the help of Karl Rove, former political adviser to President George W. Bush, and the chamber have aired 1,980 ads, compared with the 380 spots run by the Democrat-backed Majority PAC on Kaine’s behalf.

Senate Democrats Outspent 3 to 1 on Ads by Super-Pacs - Bloomberg

The story is the same everywhere. And look at the Republican base. Sure, their leadership are all enormously wealthy, but look at the base. Look at conservatives in Mississippi, the most conservative state is also the poorest. The more conservative a state is, the more poor the majority of it's people. Some say, "look at Texas". Yea, look at Texas:

So the question here is, "Does the Republican base really think RW Billionaires are "on their side"?" You know these guys are buying up Republican politicians for a reason. Don't any right wingers wonder why? What is their agenda? Don't you care?

I will ask you the same about left wing billionaires.

There is a great article in the Rolling Stone about Republican Billionaires and what they want.

Right-Wing Billionaires Behind Mitt Romney | Politics News | Rolling Stone

This guy scares me. He's called the "Waste Barron", Harold Simmons:

What He Wants Plans to store radioactive waste from 36 states in an underground dump in Texas; has been sued repeatedly by the Justice Department for failing to clean up contaminated Superfund sites. Calls Obama "the most dangerous American alive, because he would eliminate free enterprise in this country."

And I wrote a REALLY good comment under the article:

Strange the way the Republican's base first reaction is "Democrats have billionaires too". It's like they don't have any morals or ethics above what they imagine the Democrats have. They think investing in America is a waste of money and if the government helps youngsters get an education, it's (gasp) "socialism". Besides, education is for "snobs" (according to Rick Santorum to HEAVY applause). What happened to the Republican Party that was under Eisenhower?

This someone's opinion. One with which you agree.
Your giddiness over this opinion piece is not unexpected.
Who cares about the super wealthy. What they have in wealth matters not to anyone else.
BTW, the idea of "investing" in( choose favorite govt program) is not investment at all.
According to the US COnstitution, the federal govt may levy and collect taxes.
That is not investment. Of course those on the political left have been using the term investment in order to make additional taxation more palatable.
Once again this is the one glaring fact. The elephant in the room.....The federal government does not have a revenue problem. It has a spending problem.
Look, when you lefties come back with a plan that guarantees fiscal responsibility, you may then ASK for higher taxes. Until then, get your house in order.

Don't you bother to do any research?

Examples of "liberal billionaires" and what they do with their money:

Gates - wants to end malaria

Buffet - wants to raise taxes on other billionaires

Do you want me to link to a list of what Republican billionaires want? Always so worried about Democrats while getting buttfucked from behind. So tell us, what do Republican billionaires want. Be careful. I already know.
Gates is a POS! He wants to push an ineffective Vaccine with deadly side effects on Africans:
Media pushes 'success' of experimental GSK malaria vaccine while ignoring deadly side effects

Buffet doesn't pay taxes!:
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Owes Taxes Going Back To 2002

Don't you bother to do any research?

Funny, I was just reading the study your "health food" site, Natural News, linked to. Here it is:

MMS: Error

Each year, malaria occurs in approximately 225 million persons worldwide, and 781,000 persons, mostly African children, die from the disease.1 During the past decade, the scale-up of malaria-control interventions has resulted in considerable reductions in morbidity and mortality associated with malaria in parts of Africa.2,3 However, malaria continues to pose a major public health threat. A malaria vaccine, deployed in combination with current malaria-control tools, could play an important role in future control and eventual elimination of malaria in Africa.4

It's not nearly as "dangerous" as they make out. Even the polio vaccine was carefully studied and administered to young American children. Some became sick. Some died. Some ended up with huge scars on their arms. Took time to get it right, but Americans were so afraid of polio they willingly helped the government.

Today's Republicans believe in "Let him die", so why do they care if a few get sick to help the many. Oh, because that would be (gasp) "socialism".

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PepQF7G-It0]Crowd Yells Let Him Die - YouTube[/ame]

Bullshit.....Malaria was all but wiped out. Then some jerks in the environmentalist community discovered that DDT which did the wiping out of malaria, MAY have been softening the egg shells of certain birds of prey.
Because the enviro movement has most liberal politicians in their hip pocket, the chemical was banned from use. Malaria made a huge comeback. Great.

I want to know how the party that has been in charge during the economic downturns of the last 30 years plans to actually change their almost perfect record of fail. What did we get with the last 3 republicans, a recession. The only breaks we seem, to have was bill clinton and the small Obama recovery that has been fought at every point tooth and nail by the republicans in congress. Now all of a sudden we are supposed to believe another rich, dim, old white guy who cannot act is going to somehow do something different? really, Romney's plan seems to be to do the exact same things that were tried by both Bush's and reagan. there is so much evidence proving that the only thing you get when you toss rich people money with no strings you just get richer rich people. This has never worked, much like old republican plans like racism, hatred of women, the war on gays, abstinence only education, the war on drugs, the war on terror, embracing Donald trump as their saviour, and faith based science classes.

When was the last time the republicans made this country better for someone below the million dollar mark? Obama may not be the saviour he wants to be, but he does not have the long record of fail republicans have.
Stop it!!! Please.
The Clinton admin had some very smart people who knew their way around issues economic. These people advised the Clinton admin to leave the economy alone. To let it do what it is supposed to do. And of course when government interference is absent, the marketplace works. It is only when government interferes and manipulates the marketplace do we have disaster.

No. I think they are on their own side, along with LW Billionaires.

It's a role of government equation for me. Do I think a right leaning approach is best or a left leaning approach? Currently I think a right leaning approach is best. That could change, but so far the left leaning approach hasn't worked. The economy is cyclical so while I think the loss of 750K jobs per month is abhorrent, I don't think that rate is permanent and I don't think anyone could have stopped it.

The left leaning approach to picking winners, subsidizing and controlling business sectors, increasing regulation instead of increasing oversight, and bailing out state governments didn't jump start the economy as promised.

Time for a change.

So far the left leaning approach hasnt worked? What left leaning policies would that be? The stimulus was 50% tax cuts because Obama refused to work with Republicans who wanted it, then didnt want it once Obama agreed to it. It's weird how you guys push for things until you get it then cry foul.

The stimulus was not 50% tax cuts. it was budgeted as about 30% tax cuts which have not materialized. There is no data on the success of the stimulus tax cuts because there is no success there. The tax cuts were either too specific and manipulative or simply not enough to provide an incentive.

The left leaning approach didn't work. It was sold as a means to jump start the economy, fuel a roaring recovery and predicted in both the pitch and the next budged to keep unemployment under 8%. It was supposed to go towards "shovel ready" projects and ended up mostly going to bail out state governments.

The left leaning approach to creating jobs was either just accounting tricks which gave us the "created or saved" figure or outright boondoggles that fed inefficient bureaucracies.

Regardless of the reasons, justifications, or political rhetoric nobody can deny the fact that the economy is in terrible shape. It's time to try something new.

Downsizing government, Reform of the tax code, and deregulation (defeat of ObamaCare too naturally).

Why whine about who is or isn't on your side? It's childish and irrelevant. Put your big-boy pants on and stop being a whiny Entitlement hound. You don't deserve anything. You have to get out there and work for it. No one should be forced to give you anything.

Entitlement Hounds are such immature crybabies. Always stompin their feet throwing temper tantrums. The Taxpayers have had enough. They're sick of em. It's why Public Unions are on their last legs. You can only push hard-working Taxpayers so far. The Entitlement Hounds haven't learned anything from Wisconsin. Go figure?

hey Dean here is where David Koch puts some of his money.....

Since 2000, David H. Koch Charitable Foundation have pledged or contributed more than $750 million to further cancer research, enhance medical centers, support educational institutions, sustain arts and cultural institutions, and conduct public policy studies.Since 2006, the Chronicle of Philanthropy has listed Koch as one of the world's top 50 philanthropists.

Medical research

In 1992, David Koch was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He underwent radiation, surgery, and hormone therapy, but the cancer returned every time. Koch believes his experience with cancer has encouraged him to fund medical research. He says, "once you get that disease and I've had it for 20 years almost, you become a crusader to try to cure the disease not only for yourself but for other people."

Koch sits on the Board of Directors of the Prostate Cancer Foundation and has contributed $41 million to the Foundation, including $5 million to a collaborative project in the field of nanotechnology. Koch is the eponym of the David H. Koch Chair of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, a position currently held by Dr. Jonathan Simons.

In 2007, he contributed $100 million to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to help fund the construction of a new 350,000-square-foot (33,000 m2) research and technology facility to serve as the home of the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research.

Koch contributed $20 million to Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. The building he financed was named the David H. Koch Cancer Research Building.
Koch contributed $30 million to the Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Center in New York
Koch contributed $25 million to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to establish the David Koch Center for Applied Research in Genitourinary Cancers
Koch contributed $15 million to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center
Koch contributed $5 million to the House Ear Institute, in Los Angeles, to create a center for hearing restoration
Koch contributed $25 million to the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City

Arts

In July 2008, Koch pledged $100 million over 10 years to renovate the New York State Theater in the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (now called the David H. Koch Theater), and has pledged $10 million to renovate the outdoor fountains at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Koch has been a trustee of the American Ballet Theater for 25 years and has contributed more than $6 million to the theater.

Education

Koch contributed $7 million to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) show Nova, and is a contributor to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., including a $20 million gift to the American Museum of Natural History, creating the David H. Koch Dinosaur Wing and a contribution of $15 million to the National Museum of Natural History to create the new David H. Koch Hall of Human Origins, which opened on the museum's 100th anniversary of its location on the National Mall on March 17, 2010. In 2012, Koch contributed US $35 million to the Smithsonian to build a new dinosaur exhibition hall at the National Museum of Natural History.

Koch also financed the construction of Deerfield Academy's $68 million Koch Center for mathematics, science and technology, and was named the first and only Lifetime Trustee.

Koch gave $10 million to the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory where he was honored with the Double Helix Medal for Corporate Leadership for supporting research that, "improves the health of people everywhere."

do some research ya putz....

Please explain how excessive debt helps me as a middle class person. Also, how rewarding people for bad behavior or not finding a job in two years is something I need to pay for.

The same guy contributed big bucks to throw my own daughter under the bus. 2nd grade teacher. Get that one.
