We can all reproduce with any ethnicity. All ethnicities looks alike (but for minor variances.) If you used a Star Trek transporter and turned us inside out we'd all look exactly alike. :) And blind people (or blindfolded people) would be hard-pressed to tell the difference of one ethnicity to another (assuming no regional accents were present.)

So is racism or bigotry based on ethnicity even sensible? If the only difference is skin pigment, then how different are we really? As that crazy white woman with a tanning fetish showed, white can become black if you lie in a tanning bed long enough. And of course as Michael Jackson showed, born black doesn't mean forever black ;) Do people with racist or bigoted feelings lose those feelings if a person's skin color changes?

What if in the near-future, genetic engineering allows us to choose our babie's skin pigment regardless of its parents'? What if 'black babies' could be given caucasian skin pigment and features? Is bigotry and racism really about superficial visuals?

It's all about ignorance, long-held beliefs, hatred handed down through many generations, continually opening old wounds of past social injustices, feelings of superiority, peer pressure, lack of understanding, the obvious socioeconomic divide, and constantly feeding the monster of racism through media and exploitation of events. We've been taught by our parents and grand parents, raised in different areas of the country, and steered in the direction of social prejudices by those we choose to associate with. We're not born racists, we're subjected to racism through association and listening to others instead of using our own reasoning and judgment.

In many cases, we're afraid of criticism if we don't act and talk as do those we associate with, either in the work place, or in our private lives. We follow the crowd, do as others do, and harbor the same prejudices as those we look up to and respect. We dismiss the inter person, and judge by skin color, nationality, religion, and in some cases, social standing. Racism is wrong, pathetic, uncivil, and damaging to all of us. We're all human, have red blood flowing through our veins, and have hearts and minds. Examine one's own faults and character before passing judgment on someone with a different color of skin. Skin color does make the person, rather character defines who we are.

No we hate how Arabs Jew blacks and conservative whites act, not what they look like. Why would anyone care if another persons skin is darker or lighter?

Quick, go to Ferguson and tell them they have it all wrong...
A cop in Ferguson doesnt say "boy I wish these people had lighter skin." They wish they'd stop being violent criminals.

Oh and the frat guys are right. Maybe a black might someday be in their frat but there will never be a NIGGA in theirr frat. Big difference between a black and a NIGGA. Would you ever hire a NIGGA? Will there ever be a NIGGA in your family? No? Well one day someone in your family might marry a nice black person.

Are people born blind racist or bigoted as sighted people are?
Even sighted people aren't naturally racist that is taught.

But I "see" what you are saying. Kids make fun of kids who look different. So no blind people dont because they can't see who they are talking to.

One of the most powerful and enduring myths of the 20th and 21st centuries is that race does not exist.

In fact, race is a powerful biological, evolutionary, physiological reality that goes all the way down to the DNA. As they evolved, human beings existed and interbred in areas of continental isolation for eons, all the while adapting to their climates. This is what accounts for the profound differences in intelligence and behavior that we witness today, as well as the powerful tendency for racial groups to be altruistic toward their own kind and antagonistic toward others. This latter phenomenon is today viewed in moral terms as a failure, but viewed in evolutionary terms, it's a survival technique.

The purported unreality of race is like The Hans Christian Andersen story The Emperor's New Clothes... Everyone in town sees that race is real, but they know that the politically correct thing to do is to deny it.

Denial of the existence of race has not rendered race nonexistent. The biological facts on the ground remain, no matter what political and cultural pronouncements are made.

Once upon a time the church forbid anyone from saying that the earth was not at the center of the universe. But the reality remained.

Well if we are going to bring up evolution in discussion I would say race does exist like for there are the humans whose ancestors are homo sapiens and then there are those who are related to the subhuman cannibalistic brain-eating neanderthals.

LIBERALS!!!!!!! :)

In fact, race is a powerful biological, evolutionary, physiological reality....

Wrong. The "powerful biological, evolutionary, physiological reality" is that HUMANS of any 'race' will get together as nature dictates wherever and whenever possible, regardless of the fabrications of cowards like YOU.

Actually, most Caucasians have some percentage of Neanderthal DNA. At some point in human history, there was interbreeding. A pure African has no Neanderthal DNA, because Neanderthals were never below the Sahara.

Yet historically they didn't get together at all. They remained in their continents of origin for thousands of years. Today, human beings are remarkably resistant to interacting with other racial groups. It took forced slavery, for instance, for blacks and whites to come to find themselves in the same society. In places like New York City, racial segregation is proven by neighborhood and school demographics.

If 'nature dictates' were what governed race relations, there would be no problem. The problem is that Western governments have forced racial association through laws that deny the freedom of association, lawsuits, and even criminal sanctions for even saying that races are not equal.

Nature has nothing to do with it.

Yes, you ignorant shit, they did. Wherever and whenever they could. You are painfully stupid.

I don't believe that most Caucasians are related to the the Neanderthals especially those Caucasians who are from the actually area of Caucasus or the Levant but wouldn't it render those Caucasians who actually do have Neanderthal DNA as subhuman because after all the brain-eating cannibalistic Neanderthals weren't exactly homo sapiens.

Believe what you want, but science says otherwise:

How much Neanderthal DNA do you have Lots Fox News

Why in the hell would you want to make a Black babys skin pink or have caucasian features? No thanks.

There are cultural differences between some races (I prefer to use the term breed) that stem from their approach to the world. We are all one race but just like different breeds of dog are all Canis Lupus Familiaris some dogs go about things differently. There is something indefinable about the different breeds of human that science has yet to discover or if it has been discovered it has been kept a secret.
