Do We Live By Principles, Or For The Moment?

8. Arguendo, if the title of the thread is considered to be predictive, and the founding principle of federalism is firmly re-established, then, yes, Democrats/Progressives have much to be worried about.

If only those powers authorized by the Constituiton are allowed to the federal government......not only would abortion be put under the auspices of the states.

"...ABC’s “The View,” co-host Joy Behar asserted: “My worry is that this is just the beginning. Next they will go after gay marriage, and maybe Brown versus Board of Education. They already eroded our voting rights, a little bit. So I see fascism down the line here.”

At the heart of the worry for Democrats and Progressives is that one can only judge others by what they themselves are.

So, as low-life savages themselves, they wring their paws that Americans are racists, petty bigots, and want only to oppress and control other people's lives and happiness, because that is exactly what they are.
Behar 'fears Fascism down the line' because she is a Fascist.
We've all learned that Democrats lie about everything.

We conservatives also judge other Americans as wanting freedom and happiness for everyone....because we do.
We don't wish to kill babies, or censor other people's thoughts or speech, or tax citizens into serfdom.

And that is why we believe Americans should get to vote on all sorts of policies.

9. Which is the better choice....having principles as the prism through which to make decisons,....or allowing the whim of the moment as determination.

Let's be specific: when the principle at issue involve the Constituiton, the law of the land, the only document America and Americans have agreeded to be guided by, its principles involve an amendment mechanism that the people can use to alter the principle....but it quite far from allowing momentary emotions, whims, to rule the day.

Yesterday, in The Hill:

"Most Americans support legal abortion, upholding Roe v. Wade: poll"

No they don't.

a. Democrats lie about everything, especially if it supports their narrative.

b. The Supreme Court issue is not finding any mention of abortion or infanticide, Democrat demands, in the Constitution.

c. If the poll were true, the Democrats would have authored a constitutional ammendment any day since 1973 and we wouldn't be subjected to all their angst today.

  1. If liberals could trust the voters, they wouldn’t need the Court to invent ludicrous ‘constitutional rights’ for them in the first place.
  2. The only limit on liberal insanity in this country is how many issues liberals can get before a court…A lot is at stake for liberals with the court. If they lose a liberal vote, they will be forced t fight political battles through a messy little system know as ‘democracy.’
  3. When conservative judges strike down laws, it’s because of what’s in the Constitution. When liberal judges strike down laws (or impose new laws, such as tax increases), it’s because of what’s in the New York Times.
  4. Someday I’d like to see a true right-wing court just to demonstrate what ‘conservative’ judicial activism would really look like. To correspond to the ‘living Constitution’ wielded by liberal jurists, the court would have to start discovering constitutional clauses invalidating the income tax, prohibiting abortion across the nation, and protecting the right to suck the brains out of Democrats- all in the penumbras, you understand. Coulter

10. Under the principle of federalism, there is no need for all states do have the very same laws.
That leads to the question of whether all states would ban or allow abortion if the Court overturns Roe.

" So if Roe v. Wade is overturned, these states might ban abortion: There's four states that will immediately ban abortions at the drop of the hat — quite literally the moment that the Supreme Court makes their decision. Mississippi, Louisiana, North Dakota, and South Dakota have “trigger laws” in place that would automatically ban abortion if Roe v. Wade gets overturned, according to The Guardian. In other words, these states have prepared in advance for this day to happen.

... there are also states that will definitely protect abortion if the country's highest court decides to overturn the federal right to abortion. Maine, California, Nevada, Delaware, and Maryland all currently have laws in place that will protect abortion rights. There are also a few states — Hawaii, Alaska, New York, and Washington — which had passed laws allowing abortion access prior to Roe, according to the Guttmacher Institute, which could mean they would legalize it on the state level again, should Roe fall. So if you live in those states you're fine,...."

If you don't like your state's view of abortion.....hop over to another.....'

According to the Liberals, poor folks can't afford the Greyhound.

Here's where we remaing all that Democrats talk the talk, but sure don't walk the walk:
In his book "Intellectuals," Paul Johnson quotes Pablo Picasso scoffing at the idea that he would give to the needy. "I'm afraid you've got it wrong," Picasso explains, "we are socialists. We don't pretend to be Christians."

In an interview, Charlie Gasparino, moments ago said he learned that the Supreme Court will delay announcing the Roe Decision until after the midterm elections.

Could be that Roberts feels that this will balance the effects of the leak.....

I don't see the news, the leak, after the surprise is over, is a biggie. Democrats had hoped it would generate George Floyd level riots.....that was the reason it was leaked - sure wasn't a Republican- but seems to be a flop.

Murder....abortion....will still be available nationwide.
