Supporters of President Donald Trump should be absolutely giddy about impeachment. After all, this is exactly what they signed up for when they put a powerful change agent in the White House. Yes, there is the very real damage that comes with a never-ending distraction deliberately intended to obstruct the president’s agenda, but this entire, wearying path is an inevitable part of the central and overriding goal of that agenda: the complex process of draining the swamp. Hold on to the safety bar at all times, folks, because real change was always going to be a bumpy ride.
