It did not take long - but Dems are starting to cave on their surrender bill. Now they are running around looking for Republicans to pass a bill which Pres Bush will not veto

Democrats ask GOP for help on Iraq war bill
    April 28, 2007

    ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON -- Democratic leaders are turning to Republicans to help them pass an Iraq war-spending bill that President George W. Bush won't veto -- unlike the one Congress plans to send him next week with a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops.

Bush repeated his intention Friday to veto the war-spending bill and any measure with a pullout date, even as Democrats renewed their calls for him to sign the $124.2-billion bill.

Symbolic. If Bush vetoes it watch out.

Dems are in deep trouble here. No matter what happens they lose face. If they cave and send a clean funding bill with no surrender date - their kook base gets pissed

If they stand firm, they screw the military and hand over Iraq to Iran and the terrorists.
