The girl has been in jail for a month waiting to testify against her rapist. Prosecutors say they want to make sure the girl shows up for the trial.

Of course! What else can they do? There is a serial rapist who has raped and beaten other women. And, a 17 year old girl who may be "in love" with the rapist. Whether she is or not, she has vowed not to testify against him and has promised to run away as soon as she can. This girl is the only witness against him that can positively identify him. Since she's promised not to testify against him, I don't know what the point is to putting her on the stand. Letting her go means letting him go means more dead women.

Keep her in jail.
