Democrats & Liberals need a wake up call STAT/ Big biz leaving the US

Was this meant to be a non sequitur?

It's definitely an attempt at deflection, but I'm not sure about the non sequitur part.

.
It was an attempt at stupidity and false equivalence. It succeeded!

Republicans have been practicing "control" since before sliced bread....are you another of those playing dumb? Oh, sorry, you're not playing.....you actually are dumb.

Please, cite examples. Is trying to repeal an oppressive expensive and unworkable scheme tthat takes over 1/6th of the economy an example of trying to control something, or an example of trying to prevent others from controlling it?
You are a dunce.

In a sense the GOP is encouraging corporations to move.
Senate Republicans block bill to end tax breaks for outsourcing
Currently, U.S. companies can deduct from their corporate taxes some expenses of moving facilities overseas. Democrats said 2.4 million jobs have been outsourced in the past 10 years.
“It is wrong that American workers subsidize a corporate decision to pack up American jobs and ship them overseas,” Walsh said Wednesday. “That’s bologna.”
Republicans argue that if Democrats truly wanted to keep companies in the United States, they would work with Republicans to overhaul the tax code and reduce corporate tax rates.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) blocked Republicans from offering amendments to the bill, which is why they voted against advancing the bill.
“We Democrats are lined up against outsourcing,” Reid said ahead of the vote. “A vote against this bill is a vote against American jobs.”
The legislation was part of Democrats’ “Fair Shot” campaign ahead of the midterm elections. If Republicans vote against cloture, Democrats will likely use the vote against them in November, saying Republicans support Big Business more than creating middle-class jobs.

Now I do agree with the GOP regarding working in a bi-partisan manner to address corporate taxes. We always hear about lower the corporate rate and closing corporate loopholes, which is the ideal scenario. The big question is, will corporations hire a ton of attorneys/accountants to wiggle around the tax loophole reforms/laws like they have done before. Remember when GE had a entire floor of attorneys/accountants when they paid zero in taxes?

Why should anyone want to pay corporate taxes when they already pay personal income and capital gains taxes. Makes no sense that people look at tax avoidance as unpatriotic. Nutz. You want companies to stay it's damn easy, make it more profitable to stay than leave.

Because the Supreme Court says corporations are people.
They can donate big money to effect our elections that shut our the voices the working class. So what's their excuse that they shouldn't pay taxes to support the plutocracy they are creating?
They get government subsidies, grants and other special handouts. Plus they use this nations infrastructure quite heavily.
Finally, who would end up paying for the lost revenue? The working American who has suffered from flat wages for over three decades. They already are suffering from reduced expendable income thanks to flat wages. And who profited from flat wages? The same people who some folks want to go to a tax free status.
I guess some people want the US to be a Banana republic with a crumbling infrastructure, no laws, no protection against crime, no help when disasters strike, no protection from hostile countries or terrorism.

Some 47 companies have moved their headquarters overseas in the last decade to save billions in corporate taxes. While Walgreens has reversed it's decision to relocate to Switzerland to avoid negative publicity their stocks have taken a hit and their shareholders are furious.

Meanwhile here at home the Republicans want to cut corporate tax rates to compete globally the Democrats are content to just call these companies unpatriotic & stamp their feet. Is it unpatriotic? Probably. Will calling them names bring the money back home? Highly unlikely.

US based companies don't "owe" us anything. Like any business the point is to maximize profits and if simply moving your home office stands to net you a cool extra 100m or more per year you'd be foolish to stay despite the name calling from the left.

Why not cut corporate rates and KEEP that money in our economy? Stomping your feet & yelling doesn't pay the bills dummies. Unless of course you want US companies to fund the growth of other countries.

Do you have a list of the 47 companies so I can boycott them?

Basically what they are doing is laundering money. Money they earned from selling stuff to Americans. These corporations have no problem profiting from us and taking advantage of our lax laws so screw them.

Funny whine from a dummy that is having a hissy fit over companies that hire cheap labor.

Pfizer hires cheap labor? Your ignorance precedes you

Huh? What part of my question confused you? Why do you think my question "Why should anyone want to pay corporate taxes when they already pay personal income and capital gains taxes"? Translate to because corporations are people? If I've already been taxed to use services in the USA via personal income taxes and capital gains taxes, why do I also have to pay corporate profit tax? What additional services am I gonna use that I didn't pay for from my personal income taxes? Why do we give foreign companies a pass when they sell products here while punishing corporations for producing here? Why do we want to chase off profitable corporations?

..... and how long has the AFL-CIO been pumping billions to try and effect elections? Seems to me, if you have problems with corporations having a voice that we should shut them up too.

Dave Camp raised this issue in the House months ago, and Boehner didn't do jack shite. It's not all on Obama.

It's Republican's wanting to control who doesn't get healthcare....also....the Hobby Lobby thingie....don't act like you don't get it. Ok, maybe it's not an act?
Please. You are so stupid, so ill informed, it is embarassing that an adult could post that crap and not blush. It could be refuted by a 5year old. On crack.

That's what you are, a 5 year on crack....with a cracked head....

Cut the corporate tax rate to 20% and then see to it that all corporations actually pay the 20%. Then they really will all leave, because that is a lot more than they are actually paying now.
