There is money and there is political power. There are many "factions" in the US that have political influence:
1. Billionaires in general wield power
2. Billionaires that control the media
3. Billionaires that control politicians
4. Unions
5. NRA
6. Faith based groups (Evangelicals, Catholics, Jews, Christians, etc.)
7. Millionaires that focus on state and local issues
8. AARP and old folks issues

So the more money you have, or the more voters you influence, you have more political power.
Trump was supported because he said he was a "populist" and that proved out, so he won convincingly. It helped that Hillary was so slimy.
Trump proved that populists are wrangling back political control from the "establishment old-money" folks who moved factories and jobs overseas to make more money. No matter what the establishment and the MSM try to do to Trump, as long as he keep the economy moving in the right direction he will be re-elected. Democrats have always been slimy, but Trump has them totally insane, its beautiful.

Thanks for your post. The day he was elected, the Dems were up and in action trying to take away Donald Trump's win. Because he was not SUPPOSED to win, it was to be the Hildabeast's crowning glory. And she was to further our country's path to becoming a globalist and socialist sh*thole, which the Kenyan-born miscreant had started us on during his eight wasted years as president. What has happened to President Trump is not supposed to happen in a country like ours. This has only happened in third world, socially and politically backwards countries. Sharing your point of view as a whole, I must nevertheless draw your attention to my point of view:

- "the Kenyan-born" miscreant would never have been elected President of the country if his mother had not been of a certain ethnic origin. You have to say that. as it really is, and not how this miscreant was introduced to the naive American people;

- Maybe, I am a “bad citizen” from the point of view of a certain part of the respected Forum, but I assess the moral state of the present-day political elite much more critically, to a certain extent regardless of party affiliation: 80 percent of litigation in the world is taking place in America, and this is far from a moral purity of society;

- There is a huge moral gap between America of the times of the “founding fathers” and today's country, although even then far from everything was perfect. It’s enough to recall the “American genocide of the Native Indians” or how Montana was forced to join the United States; my life credo is to acknowledge and tell the truth, no matter how bitter it may be...

- ARE we REALLY socially and politically do much advanced as we would like to see ourselves - the availability of a nuclear or laser "baton" is not a sign of moral and political perfection...

- that's sad that the American people are not aware of the good that has been done by the President and HIS TEAM over these years. There is NOTHING about that in mass media controlled by the "special interests' groups - NO WORD about that! And this is a significant flaw in the White House or ...the outright political sabotage of the insiders.
