The Republicans hold the Senate and White House. None of that legislation would actually pass; but it would show the American public what the Communist SOBs are actually all about.

Anathema, it will be to House Democrats and their party's shame if they fail (at very least to pass:
(1) An act gradually increasing the federal minimum wage rate to exceed an explicit proportion of its February-1968 purchasing power, and thereafter annually (when necessary) adjust it to retain that purchasing power.
(2) A federal act to promote restoring and improving infrastructures in our nation.

Passage of such acts in the 2019 House will grant Democrats 2020 advantages. Regardless if house passed acts pass further through the Senate and President Trump, the house will have acted in the best interests of our nation.

If the Democratic House fails to pass meaningful legislation, President Trump could consequentially be re-elected and that would be further detrimental to our nation.

The Democrat House caucus should have begun deciding upon their 2020 platform planks. The Democratic majority House caucus should try to pass their most popular planks with no regard to the Republican majority Senate.

If Republicans don't pass bills responding to the House's bills, that's to Democrats' 2020 advantage.

If the Democratic House and Republican Senate cannot reconcile their two bills, those are issues that Democrats should be pleased to run with in 2020.

If the Democratic House and Republican Senate reconciled bill is not vetoed by President Trump, that's to everyone's advantage; any bill President Trump vetoes will be to Democrats advantage.

In 2020 the Democrats would then pick up all the marbles.
I regret that they will not do any of this. Will Rogers said, “I'm not a member of any organized political group. I'm a Democrat”.

However, TWO issues should be considered to the DNC credit

First the House whopping they gave to Trump cult members with their FORTY seat takeover, and

Second, there is HR 1 which basically address three issues that should be important to sane citizens:

(1) Division A—Voting.

(2) Division B—Campaign Finance.

(3) Division C—Ethics.
