Most of the terrorists were trained there. They are not being trained there now. It's time to leave.

I wasn't aware I needed your permission. My understanding is that Gunny is God, not you.

However... I dislike people using our war heros to push a political agenda. It is distasteful and disrespectful to those who sacrifice their lives for us.

And October is the deadliest month on record, yet BHO cannot decide what to do after over eight weeks since he was given recommendations on what to do from those who actually have experience. Nero Obama.

I disagree. We leave, and they just pour right back in, detaching themselves from engaging the Pakistani's; who, will not pursue them over the border. A concerted effort by all countries involved to wipe them out is the only solution.

Everyone's to busy being concerned with their turf.

Gunny we cannot gaurd all of the worlds trouble spots into perpetuity. One..it is not our rsponsibility and secondly we cannot afford it unless we are willing to grind down our resources untill we are a third world country ourselves. We will have to pull out and prepare for strikes against training camps from drones with satalite surveillance and local paid informants.

Serious question: exactly how much experience of military tactics etc do you have?

Huggy is not talking so much about "military tactics" as he is about the willingness that America will require in order to spend lives and national treasure on this war. Gunny is correct in his emphasis that a joint effort would be required. Does anybody have good data on Americans' willingness to sustain the effort required to achieve such a goal?

Started a war for what? Started a war for what? What do you mean started a war for what?

On 9-11-01 the USA was kicked in the back by a group of cowards who were hiding in Afghanistan and were being protected there by the Government at that time. They had been training there with the knowledge of said Government (TALIBAN) for several years.

Where were we supposed to go? What were we supposed to do?

It had been our policy for decades to turn the other cheek, to take preventive measures to make sure that the same type of attack did not happen again. And treat the act of terrorism as a Police matter. Mr Bush changed that. He made it a military matter and went after them. And we went after them with a vengeance. But it still hasn't been enough, he dropped the ball. And the current administration seems to be afraid to pick it up.

Loving you helpful 'input', Joke. It's nice to see that you're sitting in watch over the forum to provide input of absolutely no fucking substance whatsoever.

I would have thought that Huggy was capable of speaking for himself. Clearly, I was mistaken.

But I am sure that Gunny (who I suspect has forgotten more about military tactics, functions and operations than you have even thought about) will be relieved to know that he is right.

God's teeth, you are an ass.
