Daily Kos: Blame Dem Losses on Racism | NewsBusters.org

Possibly the best exegesis of liberal thinking about those who don't bow at the Progressive altar was written some time ago...

1. William O'Rourke of the Chicago Sun-Times: "George W. Bush's America — "Yahoo Nation" — is "a large, lopsided horseshoe, a twisted W, made up of primarily the Deep South and the vast, lowly [sic] populated upper-far-west states that are filled with vestiges of gun-loving, Ku-Klux-Klan sponsoring, formerly lynching-happy, survivalist-minded, hate-crime perpetrating, non-blue-blooded, rugged individualists….Yahoo Nation, George W.'s electoral bundle — save contested Florida, the toss-up state — contains not one major city, nor one primary center of creative and intellectual density."

And "Al Gore's America is the country's great cities: New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Seattle." Those of you who might have thought that such cities as Cincinnati, Cleveland, St. Louis, and New Orleans were indisputably more civilized than La-la-land, or at least competitive in some ways with Seattle — renowned for overpriced coffee, jet bombers, illiterate computer techies, "grunge music," and drizzle — obviously attended one of those broken-down one-room schools with a privy out back that Yahoo Nation is so famous for…."if George W. becomes president, he will not have won one center of the thinking America, the teeming centers of creative and intellectual life." Nicholas Strakon: Yahoo Nation strikes back

And, a more current version:

2. "And it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations," Obama said. And, the echo we regularly hear on the USMB...."only 6% of scientists are Republicans."

And on Wednesday, we'll hear the syncretic pleas for 'compromise.'

It's hilarious to see them still accusing the right of being "racist". Who tried to throw a black man(Meek) under the bus so a white man(Crist) could win? That's right, the DEMS! And none other than Bill Clinton and the White House!

if you would just think it thru you would vote dem....otherwise...you are stupid...racist...or you cheated....

So when Conservatives bash Obama, it's not racism, it's just disagreeing with his policies...

But when a Dem asks a certain loser to drop out of the race to help a lesser of two evils, it must be racism, right?

Race-baiting is just as retarded when so-called "Conservatives" do it.

Ah, memory loss....that explains so many of your posts!

You make an irrelevant reference to something that happened over 2 years ago, BEFORE Obama was elected (which btw I heard scores of wingnuts proclaim was going to sink him, oops, how did that work out?)

But to your credit, at least for once you were brief. Brevity is valuable companion for irrelevance.

You guys never nominated Alan Keys.

I am not sure it will be racism this time, the old fall back; them smart everyone else ( who even here to fore nov 08 voted for Him) stupid ( funny how they got suddenly stupid eh) will be the mantra....you see, we just don't get it.

Race-baiting is something that's done out of the blue.....not in response to a claim of racism.

This is race-baiting:
