It was bad enough that this racist POS declared James Clyburn - who had sexually harassed women for decades and used tax dollars to pay for his victims' silence - was innocent because all of Conyers' accusers are WHITE.
Clyburn outdid himself by then comparing Conyers' victims to infamous Child murderer Susan Smith.

"Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) compared Congressman John Conyers’ (D-MI) accusers to child murderer Susan Smith, who falsely claimed a black man abducted her kids.
Clyburn argued that these accusations of sexual misconduct may not be credible because all of the accusations come from white women."
Clyburn's message was clear - White women who claim to have been sexually harassed / assaulted by black men can NOT be trusted / believed....because they are WHITE!
Clyburn, as he demonstrated, is not only a racist but would not even recognize a racist act perpetrated against him...which it was by his own party.
-- When Democrats lost the House, in large part due to Pelosi's incompetence, the WHITE Democratic Party leaders did not want to hold Pelosi accountable and did not want her to lose her position as Top Democrat in the house. Having been replaced by a Republican as Speaker of the House the highest position a Democrat could hold in the House was 'Senate minority Leader, held by none other than James Clyburn.
The Democrats stripped Clyburn of his position because they wanted to give it to Pelosi - which they did. To appease Clyburn (and blacks who should have been outraged that Clyburn's position was taken from him to reward a failed WHITE female Democrat), Reid and Pelosi 'created' a 'made-up' position, complete with title, and gave it to Clyburn.
Now, according to Clyburn, only White women who accuse black Democrats of criminal sexual misconduct can not be trusted....and equate to infamous child murderers.
