The current composition of the UNSC http://www.un.org/Docs/sc/unsc_members.html and whether each member is supportive or unsupportive of American foreign policy in Iraq:

    Argentina – unsupportive – term expires 12.06
    Benin – unsupportive – term expires 12.05 http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications/factbook/print/bn.html
    Brazil – unsupportive – term expires 12.05
    China – unsupportive
    Denmark – supportive – term expires 12.06
    France – very unsupportive
    Greece – unsupportive - term expires 12.06
    Japan – supportive – term expires 12.06
    Philippines – supportive – term expires 12.05
    Romania – supportive – term expires 12.05
    Russia – unsupportive
    UK – supportive
    Tanzania – unsupportive – term expires 12.06 http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications/factbook/print/tz.html
    Algeria – unsupportive – term expires 12.06 http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications/factbook/print/ag.html
    United States

Thus, of the current UNSC members, it is nine to five against US policy in Iraq. How does this augur for getting anything done in the UNSC regarding Iran?

Not, if we really want something done, we'll have to do it ourselves. Ah well, going to be a depressing day from the looks of it.
