Opposing Authoritarian Ideological Fundamentalism.
I just had a fairly terrifying thought.

If a strong, viable and popular third party party can't rise up in the middle of THIS partisan disaster, maybe it never CAN.

Is it possible that independent and moderate voices are now so unwelcome in both "major" parties that they will no longer be allowed to see the light of day? Did we, as country, shut the door to independent and moderate thought so quickly and so firmly that they simply no longer have a place?

I hope I'm wrong here.

I imagine a rational third party would be ignored by the MSM and mocked by the RWM.

in a world of the blind a sighted man is deemed crazy.....

Yeah, probably true.

We don't really need a third party, but an American replacement for the socialist one.

The UK has a third party, look how far down the collectivist rat hole they've fallen. They subjected themselves to becoming mired in the euroweenie union and still can't get out..

Now if a third party fractionalized the left, and we ended up with a much stronger libertarian wing I might consider it. Basically if the DNC dissolved, 20% of the hardcore bed wetters join the CPUSA, and the independents further infest the GOP and the remaining 80% of the voting block that doesn't want to live in a soviet collective divides according to those lines I can see a benefit. The problem is 40% of the voters are obviously mindless drones that absorb all the agitprop served to them by the bolshevik media.

There has to be a way to undermine the influence of the socialists we have. I really don't think they represent as many voters as they seem to anyway, they just happen to be the loudest of all the screeching apes in the cage.

Americans, and for that matter the world, needs to be taught how the free market made America the juggernaut we are, and how socialism made countries like Venezuela the shit holes they are.

If 2016 didn't cause the rise of a viable third party, nothing will.

The system is rigged for either of the two main parties, and it is unlikely a Third Party can rise up

Yes, I am in a little bit of panic mode as well.... but I took about 10 deep breaths and kept telling myself, this is the primaries, and there are so many 15 minutes of famers on that stage now, that will be nowhere to be found come the 6th debate, let alone the 12th debate.... yes, there are 11 more primary debates left that are scheduled, that will hopefully cull out some of the liberal sky dreamers.

the closer to decision time, the fewer on stage, the more sane, they will become.... they will have to show facts, on how exactly they plan to pay for their dreams.... though I suppose they could always say... "Mexico, is going to pay for it, trust me!"

you think that because YOU are a deranged right winger.

rational people understand that BOTH PARTIES are "too far gone" in their ideological directions.

I’m pretty sure we just witnessed the birth of the Socialist Party at the debates the last few nights. Although I suppose the traditional liberals will need to break from the Democrat Party and form a new party since that party has been highjacked by socialists and batshit crazy Social Justice Terrorists.

The Dems have moved to the Left because they sense Trump has given them the opening to do so.

There are two parties in this disaster, not just one.
.

For many,
Trump was the third party vote as both parties actively worked against him.
If Jeb was the party choice, the GOP would have never gotten my vote.
We don't need a third party.
We just need the two to actually represent the citizen, not their own self serving interests.

Problem is...120 million plus, simply don't bother to vote and are checked out of politics. The Party of Apathy rules America.

President Trump has moved the party away from the neo-cons and globalist pigs that ran the GOP for decades.

Those globalist pigs supported Hillary over the Donald.

Hey, that's great.

Anyway, it would be nice if an independent third party rose up in the middle, but I don't see it happening right now.

It won’t. Most of those traditional liberals and non-batshit crazy Democrats will just vote for President Trump or sit out the election.

Well, yeah... here's the reason why you always get this wrong.

Third parties only emerge when an issue comes up neither one of them is really addressing. Example- Ross Perot was able to push deficit and trade issues when neither party was really addressing them.

The point is, if you care about an issue, you have a home in one of the two parties. if that's what gets you out of bed in the morning, that's what you'll vote for.

The problem with the "moderate" is that he doesn't get out of bed until September or so.

He's nowhere to be found during midterms.
