I first saw them live back in 1969 and they have been my favorite band ever since. I had the privilege of having dinner with Pete back in 2000. Simply an amazing man.

Me too, saw them several times from 1967, including Woodstock. They did a solid two-hour show at Maryland's Merriweather Post Pavilion in 1969. I was maybe six yards from Entwhistle's speakers. Took a year for my hearing to recover.

They were the quintessential rock band of their time.
