In the recesses of your mind
Concierge medical doctors. Have you heard about this??
Doctors who think they are lawyers.

You pay a yearly "retainer" fee, anywhere from $1,200 a year to $20,000+ a year (depending on the type of doctor), to be able to use them like a lawyer...........call or text them anytime, any day. No time limits on your visits. No waiting to see the doctor (haven't figured that one out yet). You get "kiss ass" treatment anytime you want it.

I was always told that this is the way doctors are supposed to treat patients in the first place. NOW we have to pay EXTRA for it????

Have you heard of this?

Would you pay for this?

Do you have this??

The people I used to work for used concierge doctors. It's like prepaid insurance. You can buy a level of care. General medicine, specialist, catastrophic. Pay a monthly retainer but not care for doctor visits, hospitalizations even surgeries. The doctors make housecalls but you have to go in for tests.

The way it used to be, when I was little, most doctors didn't have offices. They came to the house. Many times doctors had the most commonly used medications with them. You bought it from the doctor. All charges were always negotiable.

I am that old. Dr. Bruck lived across the street. He would come over, take my temperature, listen to my heart and come up with a dire diagnosis. Everyone paid him with some money. He had rent to pay just like the rest of us. My grandmother once paid him $3.00 and half a pot of chicken soup.

I remember all the crap from the beginning of time it seems like
