Any violence against any person is wrong. Criticizing the Chinese government for their bungling of the Covid virus is fair game. I don’t fault anyone but the Chinese government, not the people of China.

Fact: it's assumed mostly Dems in Dem communities attacking mostly the Chinese Americans and some other Asian Americans, something that has always been a problem before Covid, but increased by people suffering at the hands of what the CCP did and lashing out by unstable people.
MSM and Dems new narrative is to blame Trumps language to deflect blame on opposition, which actually belongs to the language of the Media broadcasts and Politicians who fail to clarify the full language of the President in order to cry racism (which any full speech will damage such a narrative the Dems are selling to race bait and pander to groups who they can't win over by policies). The President and VP Pence have many times clarified when they say China in context of the Virus, they are referring to the CCP, the Gov't. The president doesn't continually specify because it's implied, neither does he insult the Black community like the Media and Dem politicians, who assume they are too dumb to know the difference between a Chinese American and a China Gov't. When MSM refuses to specify the difference by fully disclosing Trumps speech, then MSM is responsible for it's inciteful narrative spin job thus according to their standards they are inciting the propaganda mind set of these unstable Dems who have controlled media sources thus know no better. They according to their own standards are responsible for their actions as they raised and molded them in this mindset, and everything they know is shaped by that academia and media=full blame every way you look at it.
From dems doing the racist acts to Media inspiring the acts to Dems utilizing those acts for propaganda and displaced blame.
Just ask yourself why did the media spin a non racist Atlanta attack as racist yet refused reporting about the Asian American journalist Andy Ngo who got attacked by Antifa?
