One of the victims was a 3 year old girl. Seriously. The police literally held the Toddler at gunpoint. They literally held a gun against the 3 year old little girl. The family was brutalized, battered, and abused. All of this was seen by the little girl. The cops tore her toys apart, searching for drugs. There were no drugs, none.

The city said that the police do not have a policy about how to deal with children during a search or a raid.
Seriously? Are you telling me you need a policy to tell the cops not to hold a 3 year old girl at gunpoint? There was an old story. When they were writing the Ethical Standards for Washington, one person correctly pointed out if you need to write down an ethical standard, you’ve already lost. Well if you need a policy written down to explain to you that you are not to hold a 3 year old girl at gunpoint, you’re too stupid to be a mall security guard, much less a cop.
Want to know why the cops don’t get paid much? Amounts equal to their salaries are being paid out to their victims every damned year. One report had it that some $63 Million has been paid out to child victims of police in Chicago alone in recent years.
Now, there is a little girl, who is now eight, who will never trust the cops again. In five years, we’ll see some jackass defender of the Thin Blue Li(n)e running around screaming that the community hates the cops for no reason. No reason they always say. If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to fear they’ll tell us.
A Confidential Informant lied, and a family was brutalized and a little girl was traumatized. They had done nothing wrong, and they had everything to fear.
Two and a half million isn’t enough. It should have been a hundred times that amount, and taken from the police pension fund. The message to the cops should be simple. Want to retire and not work at Walmart? Then here is what you do, keep your fellow cops from doing stupid shit like holding guns on three year old girls. Keep your brother officers from bashing the mother around while she’s handcuffed. Otherwise, enjoy your time working the door at Walmart inviting shoppers to have a nice day.
