You probably saw all those lying TV ads Hillary Clinton ran during the campaign. It was stunning to see someone trying to attain the highest public office in America, with an onslaught of TV commercials spewing FALSE “information”.
Among the BS ads (John McCain, Khizir Khan, the disabled reporter, etc.) was the infamous outsourcing ad. It showed some guy working for a company in the US, and complaining about “Trump products” (he called them) being made in China and Mexico.
This deceitful ad has been exposed 1000’s of times since last summer. So does that stop CBS from running a segment similar to the false campaign ads ? Nope. The fake news boys at CBS went full steam ahead blabbing about what they call “Trump ties” in China, and “Trump suits” in Mexico. They then frame all this as if these were Trump companies, owned by him, which were depriving American workers of jobs, by having the manufacturing overseas, instead of in the US.
They even went so far as to repeat one of the lying Hillary ads, showing Trump as a guest on the David Letterman show, with Letterman displaying a tie made in China, with the Trump name on the label. Just like with this lying Hillary ad, the segment is allowed to proceed, giving the impression that the Chinese-made ties are an example of Trump engaging in outsourcing, with American workers being deprived of the jobs making the ties.
Problem with all of this is that the Chinese-made ties bearing Trump’s name are not outsourcing. The company is a Chinese company which simply pays Trump a brand licensing fee. That is they pay Trump for the right to put his name on THEIR product, thereby increasing the product’s value. It’s not Trump’s company, it never existed in the US, and no American workers ever had any connection to it. Not outsourcing.
Same goes for the Mexican suits – made by a company in Mexico, which just pays Trump to let them slap his name on their product. Same goes for many other products in other countries – all simply brand licensing, not outsourcing.
Maybe if CBS wants to be the the outsourcing demonizing business, they could instead go after Hillary Clinton, who has one of the worst records on it, of anyone in America. All the while that con jobber Hillary was falsely attacking Trump about outsourcing, she :
1. Supported NAFTA for 24 years.
2. Supported TPP for many years (including up until the 2016 election, when she began to pretend she was against it)
3. Was a member of the Trilateral Commission (a prime outsourcing org)
4. Was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations ( another prime outsourcing org)
5. Accepted millions$$ in donations from top outsourcing companies.
