20/11 02:05 CET. "There is cautious optimism that a deal can be reached during Wednesday’s resumption of talks in*Geneva*over Iran’s nuclear programme.Foreign Minister Mohamed Javad Zarif is leading Iran’s negotiating team with the six world powers towards an initial accord. Well, here we have another opportunity to see a deal worked out with Iran over their nuclear power program.

Praying a deal is reached!

"Kerry: Now 'best chance' for Iran nuke deal"

By Greg Botelho

"It's important to exhaust the remedies and possibilities of diplomacy," Kerry said from Washington. "We have the best chance we've had in a decade, we believe, to halt progress and roll back Iran's program."

By all means pray for peace if you think it might help, but please keep in mind Kerry's proven commitment to the New Middle East:

"The term 'New Middle East' was introduced to the world in June 2006 in Tel Aviv by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (who was credited by the Western media for coining the term) in replacement of the older and more imposing term, the 'Greater Middle East.'

This shift in foreign policy phraseology coincided with the inauguration of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Oil Terminal in the Eastern Mediterranean. The term and conceptualization of the 'New Middle East,' was subsequently heralded by the U.S. Secretary of State and the Israeli Prime Minister at the height of the Anglo-American sponsored Israeli siege of Lebanon.

"Prime Minister Olmert and Secretary Rice had informed the international media that a project for a 'New Middle East' was being launched from Lebanon.

"This announcement was a confirmation of an Anglo-American-Israeli 'military roadmap' in the Middle East. This project, which has been in the planning stages for several years, consists in creating an arc of instability, chaos, and violence extending from Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria to Iraq, the Persian Gulf, Iran, and the borders of NATO-garrisoned Afghanistan."

The 2003 US invasion of Iraq which Kerry supported was step one in redrawing the old Sykes-Picot borders in the Greater Middle East. Step two, apparently, required Israel to occupy Lebanon as far north as the Litani River in 2006; howerver, Hezbollah foiled that particular plan at that specific time.

Egypt and Libya may have served as temporary distractions, but Obama's "red line" put the plan back on track in Syria.

Because so many US conservatives hate Obama more than they love war, Kerry and his masters had to reload their propaganda machine and "give peace a chance in Tehran."

It isn't likely the rich parasites who control puppets like Obama and Kerry and both Clintons have the $lighte$t intere$t in peace anywhere.

Since Obama has lost total credibility over the health care fiasco, the people just don't trust him in anything. That includes such an important sensitive national security matter. And without the trust of the American people, nothing's happening with Iran.

Still confused about the New Middle East, Hasbara Roudy?

"In Clark's book, Winning Modern Wars, published in 2003, he describes his conversation with a military officer in the Pentagon shortly after 9/11 regarding a plan to attack seven Middle Eastern countries in five years: 'As I went back through the Pentagon in November 2001, one of the senior military staff officers had time for a chat. Yes, we were still on track for going against Iraq, he said. But there was more. This was being discussed as part of a five-year campaign plan, he said, and there were a total of seven countries, beginning with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia,Sudan and finishing off Iran.'"

Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper to finish off Israel?

France, Israel, and Saudi Arabia will find a way to keep it from happening.
Maybe one of them will blow up another Iranian embassy...
Or maybe Obama will manufacture a "red line" US conservatives can't ignore?
From last September:

"The U.S. has intercepted an order from Iran to militants in Iraq to attack the U.S. Embassy and other American interests in Baghdad in the event of a strike on Syria, officials said, amid an expanding array of reprisal threats across the region.

"Military officials have been trying to predict the range of possible responses from Syria, Iran and their allies. U.S. officials said they are on alert for Iran's fleet of small, fast boats in the Persian Gulf, where American warships are positioned.

"U.S. officials also fear Hezbollah could attack the U.S. Embassy in Beirut."

On Syria, Iran Plots Revenge, U.S. Says - WSJ.com

If US lives are lost in Beirut again as they were in 1983...

"That silence shattered at 6:22 AM, when a lone terrorist driving a Mercedes Benz water truck loaded with the military explosive PETN (the equivalent of 12,000 pounds of TNT), accelerated through the public parking lot south of the building and crashed through a barbed wire and concertina fence. The truck passed through two guard posts without being engaged by fire, went around one sewer pipe obstacle, smashed through the Sergeant of the Guard’s booth, breached the building, and detonated.

"It is believed to be the largest man-made, non-nuclear explosion in history. As the smoke and debris cleared, all that remained of the four story Marine Battalion Landing Team Headquarters was a thirty nine foot crater and the lifeless bodies of 241 brave American servicemen."

...there will be US boots on the ground in Syria.

I actually am not reading much of anything conclusive about the status of present talks, from news reports I am reading.

Only time shall tell us what the outcome of these talks shall be.

Sherri do you have ANY idea why you wrote "...time SHALL tell.... "
rather than "...time will tell...."? Lawyers I have known are a lot
more careful in their choice of words than are you. Who writes your
petitions and briefs?

The Dumbass isn't a lawyer. What kind of a lawyer spends all their time spreading hate and bullshit on the internet? Sherri is a front for at least two or three people to spread Islamist garbage on this board.

Lavrov to Fly to Geneva Nuclear Consultations of Sextet, Iran

November 22, 2013 - 17:16

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – "Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will fly on Friday to Geneva where world powers are holding talks over Tehran's nuclear programme, Russian agencies said."

Lavrov to Fly to Geneva Nuclear Consultations of Sextet, Iran

I just read this report, after another article had reported the FMs had not been invited to Geneva.

Is this signaling an agreement may be in sight?

Still no deal.

One thing I have learned is on all sides there are people who benefit from sanctions on Iran who oppose a deal. That includes people inside Iran, and inside Russia, too.

It is sad to see people making money off the suffering of others, who desire to keep sanctions against Iranian civilians alive.

Who benefits from sanctions against Iran? and HOW ? How would an Iranian
benefit from sanctions? or a Russian? The situation has not done anything for me.
How has it affected HEZBOLLAH ----effectiveness? are they running short of
coumadin for the baby brain smashing nail bombs they favor?
In general----I do not like economic boycotts and economic sanctions. They seem
petty and vindictive and reminiscent of the old time method of STARVATION SIEGE.
I remain haunted by the images of biafran children ------dead in the dust of starvation..

Fascinating TURKEY----which does despise Iran---found a way to squeeze a small benefit
---IN THE MARKET PLACE -----of oil ------HOW EARTH SHATTERING!!!!!
Yup every action-----gets REACTIONS-----that's how lots of christians from Lebanon
and Syria got wealthy ------based on the 65 years of islamic boycott on israel----SO???

reminds me of EAST OF EDEN and Caleb's profiteering on BEANS

I still do not see the issue. The sanctions just seem to be getting to be
an even better idea
