The Republicans have managed to at least likely nominate: One of their kind, going into their convention. Widely unknown, so far, as "A Man of His Word(s), mostly racist--Donald Trump includes four bankruptcies, three solemn marriage vows, and two divorcements on his resume. Apparently, he pays no taxes--admitting to paying damn little. At RNC, apparently this is perceived as better than Romney, and better than Utah, of the Mormon brand.
But what else in the past does he bring to the table? Actually, White Males didn't turn out to vote much for Obama, either(?)! Appealing to a kinder, gentler, Caspar The Ghost, the White Supremacist delegate for Trump dropped out in California--and probably not having voted for Obama, two or more times in his life.
African American Voters: The Overlooked Key To 2016
"Black Votes Matter," again this year. In 2012, the Black voter participation rate exceeded Whites by two percent. Both groups are now less a percentage of the electorate, so women at more than half still matter. Democrats used to lament the low black turnout rates, however. Less is more on their side. Mostly, Republican elected officials are now facing the prospect of Trump at the top of the ticket, and a recent history of actively blocking blacks from voting. Anyone sees that Republicans have done themselves in again--in many states. They could even do poorly in Montana, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Alaska, Delaware, and Vermont, all the states with 3 electoral votes. District of Columbia also has three. That's maybe 21 or fewer for Trump, 3 or more For Clinton, and RNC will state it: In early 20% of the states in America(?)!
Utah may not show up, this year--mostly about the bankruptcies. But look at the Senate Midterms once again. What helped the GOP then is not going to work in the General. Big states now have their chance, too.
