Thought it would be interesting for people to post examples of Stimulus money spent in your area that, in your opinion, is either fraudulently claimed (as in already existed before the Stimulus) or was unnecessary.

I have several:

1) Google Maps
This loop intersection in north Bloomington, IN as shown in the Google map - was complete about 7-8 months ago. In this map if you zoom in you can still see tracks from heavy machinery.
There is a giant sign over the pass "Project funded by..." which in and of itself is not a lie, however it obviously is meant for people to believe that this is a result of the current stimulus. However this overpass loop was approved years ago.
2) Just recently Lawrence county Indiana, among other counties was given $773 million in stimulus money for "environmental cleanup" that were HUGELY polluted by General Motors plants. The truth is, GM was forced by the government at least 7-8 years ago to clean up the mess they created out of their own funds.
And has been doing so for YEARS.
This is the largest environmental cleanup awarded IN UNITED STATES HISTORY.
This is being touted as a part of the "green initiative" and a big enviromental story by the Obama administration...the truth? As stated GM has been doing this with their own money for years, but after bankruptcy and the government partially owning GM - you will pay for it.

I have more - but will post it after other people.
