Yes, the cardiac chect pain kills you.

And also, typically, if you're in real cardiac distress your LEFT ARM (and armpit) ALSO have sharp pain. Also look for numbness in your left hand.

Usually chest pain results from having strained the muscle sheeths in you sides or thorasic region.
(in that case you generally notice that when you inhale deeply the pain is worse)

That or heartburn, which also often feels like sharp and stabbing chest pain.

    I'm in the medical field.

If you are having chest pain - see a doctor.

Pain in the chest area, with or without associated symptoms needs to be evaluated by a Doctor .

Some people have chest pain for days or weeks ; then die.

Let the Doctor tell you if it is cardiac or not.

Call 911 when symptoms first appear...

Study: Sudden cardiac arrest may not be so sudden
Dec. 22, 2015 - More than half of patients in the study had symptoms of cardiac arrest between 24 hours and four weeks before having a heart attack.

Shortness of breath? Arm pain along with chest pain? Cluebird is the shortness of breath.

I had all the symptoms but not short of breath. 3 ER visits. Couple of years of ummm and uhhhing from docs. Treated me for GERD, and that didn't stop it either. Finally..they did an ultra sound. Gall stone. BIG one. That damn thing will make you think you are dyin' it hurts so bad. All symptoms of heart attack..except the shortness of breath.

See a doc. Then do your own investigations as well.

    I picked a guy up one evening in a Trailer court ( I am a Paramedic ).

My partner rode the call - it was his turn - a male patient having chest pains for two weeks.

In the Emergency Room, we were only there about 10 minutes. The guy went unconscious and arrested - Ventricular Fibrulation. The nurse shocked him once, or twice and got the patient back, while me and my partner were standing beside the patients bed . My partner made the comment jokingly - " I'm glad he did not do that in the back of the ambulance"

Two weeks of chest pain - and " the patient Coded "

Two weeks of chest pain before he decided to go to the hospital.

My grandpa ( now deceased ) had a heart attack and did not know till he was in the hospital and the doctor looked at his EKG and seen an old myocardial injury. So you can have a cardiac incident and not know.
