Slavery under capitalism, was revived precisely because of capitalism and its commodity relations. People under capitalism are as much a commodity as any other thing. And if slavery is profitable, capitalism will not hesitate to use it. Like in the world's freest USA in the 18th and 19th centuries.

In 2000 years of existence, Christianity, under different economic and political systems, has not been able to accomplish this.
Here's what the U.S. Ambassador to the USSR, Davis, wrote about Christianity:
