Capitalism and the Right to Rise

who desides who get paid more?

Many companies rate their employees and pay according to their job performance. Of course, they try to hire the best ones to begin with, though the government interferring with affirmative action has ensured that they can't always do that anymore. People should raise the bar and prepare themselves to compete rather than do a minimum and rely on government to elevate them.

You will end up with teachers who teach to the test to make more money

So you think it's a bad thing to actually teach what's on the tests, rather than wasting time teaching things like fisting, putting condoms on cucumbers (which I still maintain sets teenaged girls up for LOTS of disappointment later on), "being green", and the 101 other retarded leftist things they waste class time on now? But hey, they'll have more time, because they won't have to send the kids out to protest for more money for their teachers' unions any more.

quit putting a dollar sign on EVERYTHING in our society

why not? the teachers unions dew.

why do you hate teachers having power over their lives?

Why do you want to set up a system in which they have to treat children trying to learn as a produced product?

Because as the parent of a child, I think it would be nice if they actually PRODUCED THE PRODUCT THEY'RE PAID FOR (which would be educations, not children. The parents have already produced the children, dumbass).

Because then a lot fewer of them would vote Democrat. And haven't you noticed how much TM hates anyone having things she doesn't have? Apparently, that includes educations.

Ever wonder why that is? Do you think the government going out of its way to pick winners, and losers, slows down social mobility? Why should people have to petition the government to start a business in the first place?

Because European socialism is a better system than what we have?

Europe does not have socialism.

Congressman Paul Ryan recently coined a smart phrase to describe the core concept of economic freedom: "The right to rise."

Think about it. We talk about the right to free speech, the right to bear arms, the right to assembly. The right to rise doesn't seem like something we should have to protect.

But we do. We have to make it easier for people to do the things that allow them to rise. We have to let them compete. We need to let people fight for business. We need to let people take risks. We need to let people fail. We need to let people suffer the consequences of bad decisions. And we need to let people enjoy the fruits of good decisions, even good luck.

That is what economic freedom looks like. Freedom to succeed as well as to fail, freedom to do something or nothing. People understand this. Freedom of speech, for example, means that we put up with a lot of verbal and visual garbage in order to make sure that individuals have the right to say what needs to be said, even when it is inconvenient or unpopular. We forgive the sacrifices of free speech because we value its blessings.

But when it comes to economic freedom, we are less forgiving of the cycles of growth and loss, of trial and error, and of failure and success that are part of the realities of the marketplace and life itself.

much better than a collective donchyathink? Go Jeb B US H

That's fine as long as the rising benefits all. If in system A I make $10 an hour and you make $1000 an hour - but in system B we both make $0.50 an hour - clearly A is better than B even though you make 100 times more than me.

The parents responsibility goes far beyond merely producing the children and if their child is performing poorly in school its more likely their fault and the fault of the child than the teacher's. Teachers can't make children study and do homework.

It's socialism(greek, italian sector) that is driving down the economy and china and russia want to go to war over or at least they are practicing to go to war and sending dumb socialist a message.

Let's see if I got this right.......

You are opposed to education because it makes them tend to vote Democrat?

So if one is less educated they tend to vote Republican?

Makes sense. :eusa_whistle:

Did anyone really listen to this as they read it?

"The right to rise doesn't seem like something we should have to protect. "

In other countries that aren’t free, there is no right to rise, but “equal” the base without merit of work or value on anyone’s part. Share the wealth.

People are free to rise and fall with entrepreneurship and the God given talents to better the world with innovation and make their life better from the fruits of their labor. Even with failure, they can try again and again if necessary.

We also have the freedom to be stagnate and nothing of value to come our way. We have the freedom to diss our country and neighbors for what they have. We have the right to be jealous of others. We have the right to demand that we get something for nothing, but it doesn’t mean we get it. That, my friends is socialism

Cloward and Piven, ( Google them? ) and Saul Alinsky's plans, each adhered to by President Obama, is a war against capitalism. The very imperfect system that has made our country GREAT. For real HOPE and Change, we need to replace the POTUS, as his ambitions are succeeding. The goal to keep as many people impoverished and on the doll, is advancing.

The right to fail is what needs to be protected. Equality of outcome. A failure should receive the same reward as success. It's the democrat model.
