Can Voters Take Democracy Away Through A Democratic Vote?

They just tried it recently. If it hadn't been for Manchin and Sinema, Democrats would have been totally successful in taking democracy away.
Exactly who on the left wants to take away democracy and the right to have your vote counted ? Who on the left is presently trying to set up alternate electors to be awarded with out regard to the popular vote.

. It’s all coming from the right. So, who is trying to subvert democracy ? The right has been trying for a long time. …..

The details in your post do not matter

The short answer is yes. The problem with any democracy is that it is self defeating and nothing more than tyranny of the majority.

This is why democracy is not and has never been an accurate description of the US or it's government. The US is a republic. There was a few democratic elements in the structure of government but that does not make a democracy.
The fact that we elect representatives makes us a democracy. A democratic republic.

We've had for several years now leftists saying they want the country to be Democratic Socialism, which basically means full blown socialism but we would still have regular elections to change that if voters didn't like it, you know, like they do in Venezuela and Russia. They have democracies and socialism with regular elections so people can change their minds if they decide they don't like socialism. This is what democrats want us to believe, that voters can, with a democratic vote, vote for "Democratic Socialism" and then if voters decide they don't like it, voters can then vote to change back or to something else.

Fast forward to now and Democrats are currently saying that if voters vote democratically to make Trump president again, democracy will be taken away. I guess the thought process is that Trump and the Republicans will then institute something I'll call "Trump Democracy" where Trump and the Republicans will institute their own version of "democracy" and yet the lefties are apparently warning us that when voters vote democratically for Trump, democracy will be taken away and we will never get it back, despite Democrats telling us that if we democratically vote for "Democratic Socialism" we can vote to take it away in future elections if we decide we don't like it.

So, the question is, if voters actually vote democratically in a free and fair democratic election for either "Democratic Socialism" or for a "Trump Democracy" would we be able to reverse what the voters voted for or not? In other words, if voting for Trump can take democracy away, isn't it the very same possibility if voters democratically vote for "Democratic Socialism"?
We do not live in a democracy. We live in a constitutional federal republic according to the CIA World Facebook.

The reason this is a false equivalency, is because Trump has already tried to not accept an election result.
Since when is not accepting an election result new??

1. Hilary Clinton did that in 2016, along with the entire Democrat/MSM establishment, calling Trump an “illegitimate” president

2. Stacey Abrams and the Democrat party did that in Georgia 2018, claiming the election she handily lost was because of rigging and racism

3. Joe Biden just called losing governor Terry McAuliffe the “real governor of Virginia”

4. The Democrats largely still maintain Al Gore was wronged in 2000

What are you even talking about?? Democrats deny elections all the time.

Do you have a point ?
Your leader is a convicted fraud and sex abuser with 91 criminal counts among which is trying to overthrough an election. Where are the counts vs Hillary snd Stacy ?

You’re changing the topic.

If questioning an election is anti-democracy, the Democrats are full of easily identifiable examples.

If you need to run from this, go ahead

You guys keep on saying that but what does it mean? To me it sounds like you believe it's ok for one party to take over full control of the government and basically become a dictatorship, forming one party rule that future elections will be unable to reverse.

Trump is a criminal, so end of story.
Let me know when you want to discuss the topic.

As of now, you’re cowardly avoiding it because you know Democrats are massively guilty of the initial claim.

If you want to be taken seriously, I’d advise you to hold a consistent standard and denounce actions no matter who does them, not just selectively ignore them when your heroes do them. You forfeit any legitimacy to your words, and are literally wasting your time typing posts on here

I’m right in target denier. Unless, you don’t know what a democracy is about. You have blather, but you also follow a party devoted to a fascist wannabe.

Trump questioned the election 61 times and failed. In sports, we call 0-61 a loser. He then resorted to trying to overthrow the results of an election…..if you think that’s democratic, you’re a loser.

Stay on topic.

The claim was that questioning an election is anti-democracy.

Do you agree or disagree with that statement?
