I still am not sure whether he needs to resign for that 35-year old photograph, particularly so since there were no reports on any signs of racism since (as far as I have seen). I am pretty sure he should be kicked out for his incompetent, utterly damaging handling of the aftermath of the publication of that picture.

Normally it wouldn’t be a story because the dims wouldn’t talk about it and their media cohorts would follow cue. Although, it does provide our culture a teachable "moment."

But what lessons will be derived from this teachable period of time?

It is not necessarily going to be the best lesson.

Case in point.

The Lewinsky Scandal with Bill Clinton was a great teachable moment. A great opportunity for everyone to learn that what he did was wrong.

But what we came away from that lapse (or that revelation of his and his supporters values) in judgment was that HE DID NOTHING WRONG.

Bad teaching.

Who will come up with the right lesson to be drawn from this blackface stuff?
